Beautiful property almost on the lake with private access. We had the cowboy romance room which is very spacious and comfortable. Great staff, breakfast delivered every morning to each cottage. Excellent deli and market right next to the property with amazing food and drinks. Restaurants nearby and tahoe city 5 min drive. All in all 10/10 property. Wish it was pet friendly. That’s the only downside.

Room was overall good. Wasnt loud at all considering we had neighbors on both sides. Bathroom was small but fine for the weekend. The water temperature and pressure was great. Bed was comfy. Maybe invest in more modern tv and channels. Other than that my only complaint would be the corners of the room have clearly never been vaccumed. But everything else was perfect. We appreciated the free breakfast, definitely better than other hotel breakfasts.

We loved the cabin! Even though it was smaller than a regular hotel room, it was just right for us. The staff was great, the private beach was a nice touch, and the breakfast was very good. We will be back!

Terrific cottages. They're small, but serve their purpose. It would be hard to stay for an extended period of time. The staff was terrific; breakfast was outstanding and something we looked forward to every morning. Just a short 50-yard walk to the shore of Lake Tahoe--what a beautiful spot. My only complaint of the entire experience was traffic noise which was very noticeable in the compound common area (we couldn't hear the traffic from our cottage), but I don't know what you do about that. It was the 4th of July for our stay, so the street were busy. I'm assuming most spots near the lake are going to have traffic noise because the street is pretty close to the lake the entire way around.

A true gem! Highly recommend The Cottage Inn!

This is an absolute gem! Our room was really small but worked perfect for us - very cozy and comfortable. The included breakfast they bring to your room each morning was some of the best food we've ever had from a "hotel". The entree is made in-house and was fabulous! You choose which items you want from a list (hardboiled egg, granola/yogurt/orange juice/entree/pastry) and it came during the timeframe we requested and was presented in a cute little box. Seriously, the breakfast was wonderful! I believe you can also eat in the main lodge where you check in but we had it brought to our room. Austin, who checked us in, was super nice and told us about a great restaurant (Shady Side) that is walking distance and their food was off the hook. Also their drinks were really strong and really good! Trust him when he tells you its walking distance; it's much easier/faster than driving the 300 ft. or whatever it is and trying to find parking.
