Highly disappointing

The rooms are old, tired, badly designed and out of date. There were fishmoths in the bed. The spa services and sauna were out of service and the pool was not heated as advertised. There was no service by the pool and the hotel has no contingency to cope with the regular planned power outages that have been a part of love in South Africa for 14 years now. We couldn't even have toast with breakfast. You can find far better accommodation in Stellenbosch for much much cheaper.

A noisy hotel

It is noisy where ever you sleep in this hotel as it is next to 2 main roads. The traffic starts as early as 5am. The breakfast is also not up to standard as it used to be. The beds are however very comfortable and the rooms are good sizes.

Had a nice stay here. My only complaint was that the shower in my room didn’t drain properly. The shower floor also didn’t feel or look recently clean. The room and bed were great.

Disappointing Hotel Stay

The service was good and the staff seemed quite accommodating. The quality of the rooms were definitely below expected standard for a 4 star establishment. The mattress in particular was a disappointment as one could both hear and feel the mattress springs when on the bed. The room was very dusty, had no safe or luggage rack. The towels were ragged and of low thread count. As the previous two knights I stayed at a four star hotel and where the experience of quality was superb in comparison. Parking was also an issue. The bays were to small. The breakfast buffet was also below standard unfortunately. Items on the buffet were mis labeled and the majority of items had no label. Although the staff were great, I will surely not recommend this hotel.

The staff were lovely (including The Chef) but the property was run down (several items in the loft did not work) and levels of cleaning nit great. We were woken each day by staff walking past our windows and talking loudly.

New year in Cape Town

Overall acceptable hotel with nice lobby, welcoming staff. Relatively good area. Unfortunately there were some issues, which spoil the impression. 1 Breakfast - fine, what I didn't like, once I asked on the 1 st of January to take some fruits to the room, since my daughter was still sleeping after New Year's Eve and could not wake up for breakfast they say there are strict rules not to take out anything. Just fine, but the rules should be strict at all points, next day we were checking out earlier, 6-30 am went for breakfast and it was not ready yet, even though they declared it starts at this time. So our departure was delayed due to late breakfast. Another point - water in the bathroom. Extremely difficult to adjust, either too hot or too cold. Otherwise OK. Reception staff is really helpful and smiling.

Alled war gut. Service, Essen etc bis aufs Internet. Mehrere Personen konnten sich über Tage nicht ins WIFI Netzwerk einloggen. Wenn man auf das Wifi angewiesen ist, Hände weg von diesem Hotel.

Everything was very good except the traffic noise on Friday and Saturday nights. The motorcycle noise went on until early morning and was very loud and annoying. The staff was outstanding and incredibly nice, helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts were very good too.

unsatisfactory experience

Would not recommend under any circumstance. Upstairs "suite" looked like a recently repurposed attic that was dirty and not accommodating. Checked-in with three guests in the afternoon and was called around 8pm with the manager stating they would be charging us for another room if we stayed bc of our three person party. Went downstairs to discuss further and the manager was rude - not only to the several other customers also in the lobby complaining about their experience and the general lack of service, but also demeaning and belittling her own staff in an attempt to save face. We ended up booking 2 rooms at a nearby estate for nearly half the price that was far superior.

The hotel has a mix of rooms- some modern and comfortable and others outdated and in need of serious upgrades. The staff were very accommodatingoni though and did offer a free room upgrade and dinner to make up for the disappointing room(s) that I had initially been allocated. The aircon in the room didn't work properly, and the room servicing was not great.

Good place easy walk to centre of Stellenbosch

The duplex rooms are very nice, only issues are that the internet is metered and there is quite a bit of road noise.

My daughter and I cane from California for my nephews wedding. When we initially booked the hotel it was for 3 days. We loved the hotel so much we ended up staying 2 more days. The rooms are big( I had a deluxe) with a huge bedroom loft upstairs. 2 bathrooms, plenty of space. The best part of our stay was the staff! They are all amazing. Nothing was too much and never a bad mood or look. They really are what I believe made our stay wonderful!! P.s. internet is not good... only complaint!!

Väldigt kallt rum och det fanns ingen lösning på detta trots att vi påpekade detta. Var även ingen luftkonditionering i badrummet vilket kommer att ge mögel.
