We had a wonderful 3 night stay at this beautiful country inn set in a pretty vineyard. The rooms are beautiful along with common spaces. Lovely fireplace and breakfast room. Everything was delicious and freshly made. The omelet is incredible. Very easy by Uber from Capetown airport or downtown/pier areas. The Inn is a few minutes walk from the cute and elegant town. Treat yourself to this beautiful inn and country town. Dino and staff are great.

Look no further. Amazing home-from-home

I had a truely amazing time at Cap Vue. I was made to feel very welcome during my 4 night stay. The rooms are very comfortable, each with a private patio. I felt very secure. I spent several evenings by the log burning stove relaxing in the shared areas which felt like an extension of my room. I really felt at home here. And the grounds (including the vines) are beautiful for a stroke with a coffee post-breakfast. The wifi is adequate for video calls (I had around 10-20 Mb/s). My days were spent remote working from this idilic place. I made use of the honesty bar in the late afternoon as the sun catches the mountains. Their own wine is lovely and the views… incredible. Highly recommended

My wife and I loved our stay at cape vue country house! The property and our room were beautiful and the views are incredible! The staff are great and the breakfast is amazing. Great location as it is a very short walk to the main street in franschhoek.

Wonderful boutique hotel

Wonderful hotel in a great location just outside Franschhoek but still with an easy and short walk in to the city center. Very charming hotel and rooms with a French boutique feel. There is a lovely garden with a courtyard for eg breakfasts and a very nice swimming pool overlooking the vineyards. Highly recommended, would love to come back.

Perfect!

Beautiful place, I would definitely stay again! Stunning setting, pool, everything tastefully decorated and every room feels so private but cosy in the same time. We were treated like royalty. Lovely touches like honesty bar and free sherry. Comfy beds and gorgeous bathroom with nice toiletries. Thank you to the chap who checked us in and the owner for being so welcoming. We will be back!

Tolle Blicke in die Berge, sehr stimmig und gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir hatten auch ein ganz schönes Zimmer, die offizielle Bezeichnung „luxury suite“ ist aber deutlich überzogen, wir hatten etwas andere Erwartungen. Gleichwohl ein lohnender Aufenthalt.

Diese Unterkunft ist ein Traum! Der Blick auf die Berge ist bezaubernd und die Anlage ist wunderschön. Basil hat uns großartige Tipps für die Weingüter und Restaurants gegeben. Dino und das Team sind sehr freundlich und auch fröhlich was den Aufenthalt unglaublich schön macht. Das nächste mal bleiben wir länger als nur zwei Nächte.

Visited in Nov 2019 during summer. Great views, walking distance to Franschhoek town centre, secure parking and compound, large and clean rooms. It is a must to try their breakfast, and do make the most of their common lounging areas and the outdoor pool. One tiny downside is the weak pressure and fluctuating temperature for the shower. But we’re way out from a city area, so it is understandable.

Klein aber fein!

Wir haben kurzfristig gebucht und ein schönes Zimmer erhalten. Wünschenswert wäre ein Kleiderschrank. Es gibt aber eine Garderobe, um die Kleider aufzuhängen, oder gute Ablagen für 2 grosse Koffer, wenn man nicht auspacken will, was wir dann bei 3 Nächten Aufenthalt auch nicht machten. Bademäntel, Sonnenhut, ein Pareo für die Frau, alles ist vorhanden. Es gibt eine kleine Terrasse. Das riesige Bett ist himmlisch! Die ruhige Lage, der beheizte Pool, der schöne Garten und Frühstücksraum und die hilfsbereiten und liebenswerten Angestellten machten unseren Aufenthalt äusserst angenehm! Wir könne dieses kleine Country Hous nur empfehlen und hoffen, mal wieder hier zu logieren.

A very special home. Intimate boutique hotel which is well kept. An idyllic vista in spectacular countryside surrounded by mountains. Great location on the edge of town. Quiet but safe. Basil, Dino, Mercia and the team are accommodating and welcoming hosts. Overall this is a part of heaven on earth.

Beautiful accommodation in gorgeous settings. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to one of the larger rooms with an amazing view. The facilities are lovely and the hosts were really helpful - we had a wonderful stay.

The view is amazing! The breakfast was the best meal we had our entire stay in SA. The manager was super helpful and accommodating. The rooms were well decorated and the place was extremely clean. We would definitely come back again!

The Cape Vue Country House is absolutely beautiful, set in the center of the mountains, with an on site vineyard and just a minute to the center of town. Basel and Dino were wonderful and were so welcoming! Our room was just lovely, with high end furnishings and linens, as well as a private patio with a spectacular view. The breakfast was top notch, set in the most tastefully decorated room with roaring fireplace. Do not hesitate to visit!

Spectacular location. Beautiful interior design and the layout is perfect. Each room has private areas and lovely views. The staff are exceptional and the service superb. The breakfast is wonderful and worth the visit. Close to town so you can walk about and enjoy the area.
