Spectacular room. Incredible facilities. Wonderful staff. Best location.
Great place to stay; beautifull house, quiet, big rooms, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, parking and next door to all the services Stellenbosch has to offer.
Just a perfect stay. The building is amazing and the rooms are stunning. Ilzebet was the best host and made sure the stay was memorable. Take breakfast facing the mountains - really a memorable stay.
A great, quaint guesthouse in the heart of stellenbosch. Room was clean and beautiful, breakfasts were very good and high quality. The staff were so welcoming and warm. We would definitely return!
The manager and staff were very welcoming and friendly.
The hotel is very charming and service is top and classy touches.
In the center of town close to all restaurants and bars as well as art galleries.
The breakfast was very well presented and the best omelettes I e had in a hotel ever.
Nice hotel with many dining options within walking distance. Breakfast was okay quality and plentiful. It’s a historic building so expect quirks and creaks. Staff are very nice!

At the I booked I didn’t realize how perfectly located this property is. Park in the gated lot across the street. Shops, museums, botanical garden, and the delicious Fat Butcher restaurant are all within a few minutes walk.
Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip to SA. Everything was perfect for us. Friendly efficient staff and a the lovely Ilzebet who was so helpful. We will definitely return.
It's the little details that make this property stand out. From the welcome to the introduction to the property, descriptions of the area, two baggage racks in the room, plenty of towels, a plush, comfortable bed and then breakfast - wow! Thanks for a fantastic stay
Can’t say enough positive things about de Hoek. The staff is friendly and informative, the location is in the heart of Stellenbauch, old manor beautifully restored and comfortable. Close to everything you want to do. Secure parking included.

Clean, spacious room with a bathtub as well as a walk-in shower. The owner was very welcoming and was in contact a day before arrival making sure that everything was ready. In fact the room was ready before check-in time.
There is secures parking.
Please note that there is a church across the road and the bells rings on the half hour and hour. I'm a light sleeper so heard it at 3 in morning and at 6 whereas my partner did not hear it.
Just wanted a quick stopover whilst we visited some specific vineyards in the area and had walked past the hotel in the past.
A small, comfortable hotel with spacious rooms. We had booked a Heritage View Room (on the 1st floor overlooking the church) but we put into a garden room which, although it had a private patio, had no views at all. We only realised once reception had closed and as we were only there for one night, didn't cause a fuss about it.
Breakfast was lovely and the service great.
Safe, secure parking across the road with security.
If you don't need a pool but want to be in very easy walking distance to restaurants etc. stay here.
The property is very convenient. The staff are very helpful with anything you need. We felt special from the moment we walked in the door until we left. We will definitely stay here again! Even though you are near the town center, it was very quiet and private.
Fantastic Location with parking, staff that go the extra mile, every detail goes beyond what is hoped for. Rooms are perfect, beds comfortable even complimentary Sherry for a Nightcap. Can’t rave about the breakfast enough. Felt totally spoilt. Thankyou!
We have stayed here before, and knew the exceptional quality of stay offered. Elizabeth has now taken over the management, and made further improvements.
Breakfast is now taken in the stylish and spacious dining room at the front of the manor house. The breakfast is superb.
Rooms and en-suites are spacious and have every facilityyou could wish for.
Also there is a separate spacious lounge with two balconies for guests to use, with cookies and refreshments available in the adjoining kitchen area for guests to help themselves.
The TVs in the lounge and bedroom feature all DSTV channels, including Supersports to watch international sports (T20 cricket world cup, rugby and Premier League matches.
Car parking is provided at the front and in a secure car park across the road.
We will return👍.
