"The Rockport House is a beautiful, well cared for property. We just stayed overnight before catching a boat in the morning. Our room was very clean and comfortable and within walking distance of town. Great place to stay!"

"5 Long Beach Rd property (Beachcomber Cottage)is one of the most comfortable, spacious houses we have rented in Gloucester for many years! We enjoyed walking distance to 2 beaches with easy access to shopping and downtown…also car rental co.The house easily accommodated 4 family members with a large kitchen, dining area, living room and 2 bedrooms on 1st floor and an upstairs”suite” with bedroom, bathroom and game room including ping pong table which provided privacy for my grandson and his wife. The backyard was private, beautifully landscaped and quite a serene place to sit and relax after a day of exploration, as well as a lovely deck on which to enjoy your morning coffee! The area was peaceful and a great getaway to escape the present chaos of modern life. This is a perfect place to unwind, especially after Labor Day and busy summer seasons everywhere!What made renting a house completely across the country(we’re from CA) much less challenging was the communication with hosts and their readiness to answer our questions. One host actually lives in the area and would be readily available to handle any emergencies that might arise! Loved Beachcomber Cottage and hope to return next year! It is a true gem!"

"Great little beach house in Rockport and very central for exploring Rockport and Gloucester. Would definitely stay here again. One warning, there is no a/c as listed and even though it’s on the beach you’re still a block away from the water so if it was toasty at night it would be quite warm for sleeping in my opinion. With fans we did just fine but it was pretty warm the first night we were there."

"The property was large, clean, and a short walk from the beach. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The host responded very quickly to a problem with two windows. The parents and teens loved the upstairs living room with the large tv and the huge amount of seating. There were a couple of maintenance issues that were odd, but didn't impair our visit. The onlline photos were confusing. It would be good to label them as to which floor they are on and to be clear that the 2nd floor bedroom and the other one are connected. It would have been good to know ahead of time that there were a few beach toys and boards. I could not communicate with the host until I found that only texting works with him. This should be made more clear. After I started texting the host was immensely helpful."
