"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family spent a week at the amazing Haystack Haven (2nd time/repeat renters) and loved it. The first time our family enjoyed Cannon Beach our kids were 10 and 12 and we made lots of sandcastles and ate lots of taffy. This trip to Hatstack Haven gave our family, kids now 21 and 23, their own space and a perfect landing spot for happy hours and cards on the deck, home cooked meals (even they shopped and cooked!), and comfortable beds for all. We love Haystack Haven, and while it’s nothing fancy it’s absolutely perfection and offers everything you need. Thanks for welcoming us back! We’ll see you again soon to kick off our Sandy flip flops, open the Willamette Pinot and enjoy another sunset over the Rock!"

"Location! Location! Location! This is THE picturesque place to be. We brought our grandmother and she savored the beach through the sunroom. It was a dream come true to stay there at 89 years old!One article calls the home a cabin, and that description fits the floor-to-ceiling wood effect. The drawers and cabinets are full of mismatched plates and silverware — it’s easy to imagine a large family gathering around the massive log table. Pictures show the family gathering over the years. One member of our party described the place as well loved. There are some handyman projects that could have made our stay smoother. And by the time we stayed in late August, the house needed a deep cleaning (dust on molding and door frames; crumbs in kitchen drawers and cabinets). However, the appliances are all updated and very nice. And the cleaners had the rooms cleaned and ready for us. My children loved the proximity to the beach. But the owners are fighting a policy and public opinion battle about dunes encroaching. There is a large sign on the house and another sign at the edge of the property (on 10 feet of sand that has covered their wall)We were sad to leave— the house felt like home after a week."

"The apartment was set up beautifully and well organized. Our host gave us good instructions for our stay and was available if we needed them. The place had just the right amount of space for the two of us. It is located within easy walking distance both of downtown (to the north) and Haystack Rock (to the south). Pelican Brewing is located just a few blocks to the south as well as coffee shops, restaurants, galleries and a small market. The outdoor balcony was a delightful place to drink coffee or tea in the mornings or sit and relax in the afternoons. We love it so much we already booked for next year!!"
