The house was great for a larger group and the location can't be beat. Walking distance to shops, coffee, food and haystack rock.

Haystack House is good

Facility is a little tired, but very comfortable. Location hard to beat. Beach access, view - excellent!, Varied separate rooms worked perfectly for our large family

Beach Front

Beautiful Romantic stay. House is more likely booked by families , but we wanted to have direct beach access and views. Enjoyed the fireplace and easy walk to town.

Great location

We had a fantastic time in this house with friends. We loved the proximity to the beach and the town. The endless walks on the beach and warming up by the fireplace were our favorite things this trip!

Great place for large family gathering

Plenty of room for a big group. Wisconsin relatives awed by the superb views. As close to the bea.ch as you can get. Beautiful kitchen very well stocked.

Cannon Beach Getaway— 11/23

Great family venue— especially for younger children’s access to beach and sandy front yard. Older home, with well-kept home with cozy touches. Views of ocean are wonderful from dining room, master bedroom and a sitting area. We walked to Pelican Brewery and Wayfarer Restaurant for really good food.

Sleeping at heaven

It is perfectly located. My dad is 88 and walking on the beach is no longer an option for him, but to be able to sit in the sunroom that overlooks the beach was perfect for him. It's a warm and cozy home with plenty of space for a large family. The kitchen was well stocked; just bring your food.Would be a great location if you had littles as well. The access to the beach being straight out the door

Fantastic Property in an Amazing Location

The views were worth the money. The property manager quickly responded when we had a broken garbage disposal. Recommend this property, if you want a location right on the beach and is within walking distance to all of Cannon Beach.

Haystack View

We have friends in Cannon Beach and have been there many times. Our oldest daughter got engaged in front of Haystack. It is their second anniversary so we decided to splurge and rent on the beach. Loved having Haystack right outside the window. The property could use a little TLC but we enjoyed the property. The property manager was very responsive to our needs.

Great house in unbeatable location

You can't get any closer to haystack rock from this home. Was great to sit and stare from the sunroom and back patio. The house is showing some age and the cleaning crew could do a better job (dust and dog fur on the floor in places, someone else's socks left). House is walkable to everything in CB

Another Great Family Vacay

We are two sisters, with their four adult sons, two daughter-in-laws and two grandkids. We take an annual beach vacay together and this is our favorite house to rent. The location is fantastic, right on the beach. The sandy front yard is perfect for our littles and a great place to watch the sunset and the beach. The house is quite comfortable and fits our family perfectly. Thank you! We'll be back!!

Great location could be cleaner.

The location was perfect. For the amount of money they are charging per night one would expect the place to be cleaner. There was laundry left in the dryer, The bedding, couch and carpets were badly stained. The back door was very hard to lock.

We had the pleasure of staying at this property a few years ago at Thanksgiving. When we saw it was available again after Christmas, we decided to surprise our kids with another getaway. Is it expensive, yes. But you can not beat the location. We just adore having instant access to the beach. And the outdoor backyard allows our kids to play outside in sand while we supervise them from the house and meal prep/read. Such a wonderful place to make memories. We hope to stay here again.

Perfect family retreat

Once inside and seeing the AMAZING views I couldn’t have asked for more. The house accommodated the 6 of us perfectly. Our favorite spot was the sunroom. We were actually on the beach. Haystack Rock in all its glory. My only recommendation is that the front of the house has a little makeover. Pretty drab looking. Construction going on next door. Thank you for a special long weekend for my family to connect 😍

Great location couple items that could be improved for the price of the house.

Absolutely beautiful location right down Cannon Beach. As far as the house mostly things, but a few worth noting: 1) The house was clean on the surface, but underneath, it was pretty dirty 2) No paper towels and napkins - we purchased them and left them for the next person. 3) No wash towels and only a few hand towels 4) The BBQ was really dirty. We had to spend at least a half hour cleaning the cooking grill.

Great Location but

The location was great right on the beach. However, it was hard for me to get over the general dustiness. The property is old and hadn’t been updated, which you can see from the pictures, but it needs a deep cleaning. The home is large with many add-ons over the years, and it’s clear some tubs and rooms are rarely used. We have dust allergies and this home irritated us badly. Also, the back door to the beach is impossible to lock which is concerning because the home’s property is along the public beach access and there are people walking back and forth often. Lastly, the home next yo the property is being totally remodeled so the construction somewhat impeded the view of haystack rock. If you are planning on staying during the week in the next coming months, expect active construction. As I said before, the location is great, loved being right on the beach, but it wasn’t as relaxing as I would have liked.

Location is the key but don’t expect fancy

The location is just amazing! It’s quirky house with enough beds for a total of 14. It is not clean (stains on carpets and towels, and dirty couches with smelly throw pillows), and could use some general TLC. It smells VERY musty which seems like a bit of a health risk. Thankfully, the weather allowed for us to have windows and doors open most of the time. There was also a broken fan in the kitchen and broken smoke alarm in hallway. The fridge was clean and there is a full size washer and dryer and utility sink in laundry room. There is also conflicting info on signs and directions on property compared with instructions received online. Positives are lots of games, and well equipped with dishes and a big table for meals. King bed and bathroom plus a single bed upstairs. All other bedrooms and two bathrroms on main floor. One block walk to Sleepy monk coffee and only slightly farther to Macgregor’s whiskey bar. I would give a higher rating if it hadn’t been moldy.

Great Haystack House

This location is great for CBCC if you have a large group going together. R furniture to sit on. Our group plays lot of games and the dining room table was good for us. We had 3 cars and found a close spot for the third car to park. There are a few areas that new maintenances and it was our understanding that they were going to be doing that starting the afternoon we left. This house works great for a large group. You won’t be disappointed! It was apparent that your cleaners do not clean under the sofas. We found stuff that definitely wasn’t from our group. Vitamins and dog food. Definitely not us! We all did say when we arrived how clean the house was. So surface is awesomely clean, but when we dropped something that rolled under the sofa, it was disgusting and I chose not to even continue looking for my stylus top. Thank you 😊
