"As a wedding photographer who refers a lot of clients, I wanted to try Everwild out first.
Pros:
New, lots of spa rooms and variety with hydrotherapy, clean hotel and updated rooms, easy parking, restaurant on-site. Wristband to pay for things / get into lockers.
Cons: issue with check in, staff told me to call expedia, expedia told me only hotel could make the changes (it was a stressful start), didn't feel as upscale upon checkin as pomeroy does, we were not notified that there would be active construction during our stay (a very loud backhoe during full treatment time if 3.5 hours which was distracting) we would have liked to have been at least told about it beforehand or offered a discount as the price is similar to pomeroy, beanbag chairs in domes were wet (ew) perhaps cedar recliners would be better? The fence was only 6 feet so we could still see the highway and hear a lot of road noise- not super relaxing, cell phone use wasn't enforced (A man was FACETIMING from one of the pools...) They kick you out of the treatment rooms for "rituals" where you have to stand in line to wait to get back in...tough to book into the rituals ahead of time. Restaurant options felt a bit limited. You can't add bacon to a burger? Rooms had price tags on the lotions - it just didn't feel upscale.
Overall it was "okay" I am not sure if I'll be back yet or if I feel comfortable referring my clients there. "
