"The hotel is in a great location with parking. Made walking around town easy and accessible to all restaurants and shops. Rooms are spacious though the first floor inside facing rooms feel a little claustrophobic and not so bright. Would have preferred a higher floor.
Some of the staff are amazing and super helpful. While a couple of them seemed a little standoffish. Example- asked for a concierge and the young lady said she was one, but then was unable to answer any basic question about the area, asked her for a map she said she’d have to see if she had one, proceeded to ask her colleague who pulled out a whole stack and gave us one and showed us the entire area.. so you get the point. Some of staff are extremely helpful, while a couple of them not so much.
They said we were eligible for an upgrade but then proceeded to not upgrade us as they didn’t have rooms and then asked us for extra money to upgrade us the following day.. which was strange.
There was a lovely young lady Jess who served us breakfast and coffee for two mornings. She was always smiling and extremely friendly and nice. However there was another lady working in the restaurant .. who was borderline rude. I had a small cup of yogurt almost finished before I sat down for breakfast.. instead of politely pointing out to leave it outside, she came over to the table from behind me and barked ‘no outside food’. It really was an oversight on my part.. and I felt so insulted I didn’t even finish my breakfast."
