"The entrance is on a quaint little square with a bunch of little streets coming in at odd angles. The hotel backs up on the river, and the breakfast room has an attractive view down the river to an old bridge, and up the river to the mountains. The stairs were attractive, so I didn't bother with elevator."

"Lovely old (1817) repurposed mansion. Very comfortable. Proprietor Phillippe was very hospitable. (We were the only guests that night.) Estate surrounded by wall and gate, with parking inside, so very secure. (Named after his sister.) 10 minute walk to center of town. Only place open for dinner (Sunday night) was pizzeria across the street, which was pretty good. Wifi worked well. Room a good size. Better than *** - probably 4*. Very pleasant - I would definitely stay there again."

"Had a wonderful two nights here. Absolutely lovely place - very French and rustic. Was allocated a really nice bedroom (with an ensuite) which was clean, spacious and private. Very comfortable bed. Really enjoyed the breakfast and had scrambled eggs every morning and a selection of bread and pastries. The eggs were from the hens in the garden, the jam was made from the prunes growing in the garden, and the juice was pressed from the pear trees growing in the garden! So wholesome! "It does what it says on the tin, unpretentious delivery of what you need somewhere comfortable and clean to sleep. Some of the facilities are a bit plastic, but that's what you expect. Shower a bit small, but again what you expect. Very limited range of options for dinner locally - albeit food in (effectively self-service) Crescendo was good value."
