"We stayed at The Ship for a special wedding anniversary. It’s an exceptional hotel in a wonderful area which has a unique atmosphere. The hotel food is good with a menu that changes over the seasons. The breakfast is very good and there is plenty of choice from pastries and cereals to full English. The rooms are well furnished and comfy and the tea, coffee and biscuits topped up daily.
For bird watchers the estuary is worth a visit and in the room we chose the hotel thoughtfully provided binoculars. We also visited Birkenhead Park that inspired New York Central Park. The highlight had to be our visit to Port Sunlight and the Lady Lever art gallery. A brilliant exhibition of Jim Moir's art which was much more skilled than we’d realised from the Sky Arts tv series. "

"Alison was lovely, The property was perfect for us all, it even had a little place were you could sit out side and have a glass of wine or a morning coffee.We would totally stay again, but we would bring a toaster, the bed was so comfortable which was a huge plus, there are drawers places to hang your coats and its perfect if your out all day and its some where to just put your head down and have a lovely sleep when you get back . Shower room was a great size extra . 100% We would stay again. . "

"This is a blatant misrepresentation of the accommodation, you assume the photo on the advert is the building but it is not. The actual building resembles a derelict house with badly peeling black paint and grubby door and windows in an unattractive area where it feels unsafe to leave your car.
The inside is slightly better but has torn flooring, wallpaper that has seen better days, uncomfortable seating, poor shower and cheap linen.
The photo of the hot tub is laughable when you look at the reality.
Luckily we were only staying one night otherwise we would have found other accommodation."
