"Construction noise all day and leaf blowers at 7am is not something conducive to a stay at a spa resort….sorta contrary to the whole concept. A/C in the room did not work. These are management issues….staff was great!!! Staff gets a 5/5. "

"Lovely place would stay again for sure. It’s quite far off the main road I’m and some parts are quite bumpy, but very peaceful and quiet so worth it."

"Lovely place. The staff was very attentive and bfast was really good! Great location just a few minutes walk to downtown and the national park. Lots of wildlife including howler monkeys. (The monkeys would start their noise around 4am so if you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs!) "

"This hotel is stunning! The pool and restaurant area has an awesome view of the beach and ocean. It has several pools that allow for different crowds. I went with my wife and twin boys and shared a 2 queen room. Even though the beds are small (not queen for sure), all other details were positive. "
"This hotel was nice. We really enjoyed the pool and breakfast. Also it was nice that they had a selection of books to trade with. There is a walk to get to the ocean "
"We have had an amazing time at Congo Bongo. We loved everything… the accommodation, place, staff and the beach! I would rate this place 10 /10…will definitely go back someday in the future!"
"Beautiful resort! Very friendly and helpful staff... Maria at the front desk, was especially polite and informative! With the gated property and multiple security officers on site, we felt 100% safe at all times.
There was a sloth living in a tree on the beach right behind the property, and a kinkajou living in a tree by our balcony. We were able to see them on the daily... and the sounds of the various birds and howler monkeys were AMAZING!!!
The pool area was beautiful, the dining area was very peaceful... and the food was wonderful. I can't say enough about this resort, and will definitely be returning!"
"After staying 3 nights in a hostel in Playa Cocles , this place is a dream come true!!! They put me in a cabin far from other occupied cabins, so the only sounds are jungle sounds…amazing! And the “windows” are just screens, not glass, so the air is fresh and clean, not moldy. I feel enveloped by nature. And the staff are truly wonderful, the beach is entirely my own, I am in heaven!"
