"Such a nice property! We especially loved the outdoor spaces - deck, fire pit area, and the bench beside the creek. Quiet and peaceful! Very close to the trailhead for the A.T., which we loved. Go north to climb Three Ridges or south to climb The Priest. The bed was super-comfy too! Great place to unwind."

We only stayed a weekend, to attend the Sounds of the Mountains storytelling festival at nearby Camp Bethel. We hope to go back when we can stay longer, to see more of the town & surrounding area."

"Perfect home for our family for a week spent around graduation at VMI. We had no idea we’d be staying in a VMI alumnus’ home. Extra treat! The house was well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen for family meals. Location was perfect with amenities like the beautiful wrap around porch that overlooks the river. John was very helpful and communicative. Would definitely recommend this host/property and try to stay at this same location should the opportunity arise."
