This rustic 2-bedroom cabin nestled in the woods is the ideal hideaway to escape your worries and the bustle of everyday life. Moonshiner’s Hideaway offers privacy and seclusion with mountain views while still being near Bryson City, the Nantahala Outdoor Center, and fishing just a mile away on the Little Tennessee River. Heavy timber beams and full log construction give the cabin “olde tyme” charm, along with furnishings including an authentic still to inspire the moonshine theme. The wrap around deck has many areas to sit, relax and enjoy the sounds of nature and the fantastic mountain view. The large, well-appointed kitchen accommodates all your dining needs and there also is a charcoal grill outside. You can enjoy an evening under the stars in the hot tub just steps off the back deck, or roast your marshmallows over the backyard fire pit. If the evening gets too cool you can always enjoy satellite TV and HughesNet internet while warming yourself by the indoor gas fireplace. When it's time to retire, set your own comfort level in the king size Sleep Number® bed in the master suite. The second bedroom has a new, top of the line queen bed.

Hidden gem in the smokies

The cabin was just as advertised clean, great location with beautiful views. Everything we needed was there for a few days relaxing. Host was wonderful, I left something at the cabin and he was more than willing to mail it to me the next week.

Great stay!

We had a great stay at the cabin. Although it was a hot weekend we took advantage of hot tub and fire pit and cooked out amazing meals. Our suburban dog loved taking walks off the beaten path.

Could not have possibly been better!

If you are looking for a drop dead gorgeous place to stay, this is it! My husband, my two best friends and I stayed for the weekend and we’re literally blown away by this cabin! My husband and I travel a lot and this has got to be the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. They have it stocked so well, it was super clean, the location was amazing, it was perfect!

Perfect get away

We absolutely loved this cabin. Clean and spacious for us. Kitchen was well stocked, bath towels and bedding were perfect, along with a wonderful hot tub and a peaceful gas log fireplace. I was so thankful for the option to be disconnected if I wanted but still had the option to connect with Starlink. Our host was easy to communicate with, answering questions quickly. Loved hearing the rain on the tin roof, playing a few board games and completing a puzzle. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away and disconnect. I will definitely stay again.

BEAUTIFUL Cabin & Excellent place to visit

We absolutely loved our stay here! I'm a native northcarolinian from the coastal plains, but I've never quite made my way into the Smokies so I was very excited. This stay did not disappoint. My husband loved the many opportunities around to fly fishing and my kids LOVED the white water rafting experience just a short drive away at the NOC. Would highly recommend anyone check that out. We loved this cabin so much we w already talking about when we are coming back. And possibly to bring family and/or friends to stay in the neighboring cabin. Can't wait to be back at Moonshiners Cabin again soon!!

This cabin had everything you could possibly need including things for the pets. It was a beautiful natural wood decor and in a quiet location. The host was very responsive to any questions before and during our trip.

Sons wedding weekend

We felt the cabin was better in person than the pictures presented…. And the pictures were amazing to us. Cozy, comfortable, clean, and many things nearby to do. Absolutely quiet and beautiful setting and we look forward to returning one day in the future to explore and experience more this area has to offer.

The Most Perfect Cabin

This cabin is great! The location is ideal. You do share a driveway with the neighboring cabin, but you still have your privacy and don't really see them. Definitely check out Cardinal Coffee, it's the closest coffee, smoothie and bagel shop to the cabin. It is the best. This was probably one of the cleanest cabins we have stayed in. Also, they do include toiletries, which is a plus. Very well stocked. The wi-fi service isn't the greatest, as it is satellite, so when it rains it goes out. We didn't have cell service at the cabin (we have Verizon), so we relied on the wi-fi. There is a decent amount of DVDs and board games to play. The host, Nate is SUPER responsive to any questions you have, and replies almost instantly. Overall, this is a fantastic place and you'll love it just as much as our family did. We will certainly be back!

Great Getaway

This is an amazing place to stay! It’s super clean and very well stocked! Definitely would consider staying here again! Both bedrooms are upstairs, with the 2nd bathroom downstairs!

Beautiful spot, great amenities but very remote

We loved our stay here! The cabin is thoughtfully prepared for guests. We really appreciated that they were dog friendly. The large covered porch was the best spot for reading every morning and playing card games in the evenings. The hot tub and firepit were great. I would say the only downside is that while there is wifi, there is no cell reception whatsoever. Bryson City is a 20 minute drive away which is fine, but every other town is a much further drive because some roads are very windy and narrow, others are gravel and slow-going. This is FINE if you know that going into it and prepare for it! Don't expect to zip over to another town in a short drive; it took us over an hour to go 30 miles to another town one morning. I really appreciated that the cabin allowed us to decompress in the quiet, so I would not count the remoteness against it.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

Moonshiner’s Cabin was AMAZING! It was clean and quiet. It had everything we needed right there. It’s close enough to so things in Bryson city. We went for my husbands birthday and will definitely be back.

Fantastic getaway!

We had an amazing time - the cabin is very clean and well stocked with a wonderful outdoor area for hanging out and relaxing complete with hot tub and fire pit. It’s located perfectly within 25 min of Bryson City, Franklin, and the NOC. We went whitewater rafting, tubing at Deep Creek, hiking, horseback riding - the works! My kids said it was a better vacation than Disney :). The owner was also very helpful and responsive when I had a booking issue. We plan to return next year!
