Overall a wonderful time. The road to the home is very hard to navigate but a beautiful home on the lake. I would recommend having more bath towels and wash clothes available and kitchen towels otherwise we had a wonderful time.
Thank you
This cabin was cozy, comfy and had a magnificent kitchen. We made most of our meals here, so we appreciated how well equipped it was. We rented a pontoon boat for two days and were able to dock it at our cabin so we could go tubing and enjoy a sunset cruise before having to return the boat. We went tubing down the river in Cherokee one day and then stopped in town to just stroll through all the shops and grab a bite to eat. We also enjoyed kayaking and swimming from the dock and making S'mores in the fireplace on the upper patio. The views were fantastic. We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you!
We had a wonderful time at this property! Fontana lake is absolutely devine! Water like glass at all hours of the day. Very few other boats at this location. Nice covered dock slip in very deep water. House is nestled in the woods with no other houses in sight.
Neighborhood has a nice boat launch but be warned that you need to navigate 6 miles of hairpin turns up the mountain to get there.
House was decorated beautifully and furniture was very comfortable. Kitchen had gourmet appliances but was light on the type of serving implements and cooking pans that you need for a large group. There is only seating for eight at the table. An outdoor dining table with seating for as many as the house sleeps on the upper deck off the kitchen would be a great addition to the house!
My family, 14 of us, we couldn't have asked for a better home for our gathering for the Polar Express. Thank you for opening up your home to us, we will definitely be back!
Picture perfect place to stay. Only negative is the 25 min drive up and down winding roads. Not great for people with car sickness. We will not stay here again for that reason but that’s the only negative.
We absolutely loved staying at the luxury cabin. The view was breathtaking. The shower in the master bathroom was so relaxing. I loved the kitchen for preparing meals together. I loved that there were two game spaces (loft and downstairs). I loved the added touch of providing the ingredients to make s’mores. It is the perfect place for an adult or family escape.
The house is nice. Far out which we liked. The Viking range needs to be replaced or updated. The griddle didn’t work and one of the knobs was broke but I don’t think any of the knobs were on properly. Other then that it was a great time.

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Could have been better for the $
Pros
Kitchen well stocked
Lovely deck
Bedding fine but master bed had a sag
Plenty of space
Great view
Paddle boards and kayaks for guests use
Cons
Kitchen not very clean upon arrival
Dark dark dark interior
Blinds in guest room extremely dusty
AC would never go over 72 so it was really chilly inside
A hike to the lake which was hard to tell from pictures
A beast of a road to get there so it precluded going into town more than once
The cabin is beautiful and easily fit our big family. I also appreciated the check in process and easy text communication. A couple of issues though, the frig wasn’t properly cleaned. A couple of the drawers still had juices from previous guests. The frig also stopped cooling on day 3 of 5. We were offered to use the owner’s frig on the lower level. That was nice but quite inconvenient to the kitchen and no update on if anyone was going to come fix the frig for the rest of our stay. I’d say that put a damper on our stay as we’re a big foodie family and some groceries were wasted. Overall, the house was beautiful and communication was good until an issue arises and there was no follow up besides issuing a ticket to fix
Our family found everything we needed and more during our stay. The home is lovely and fully stocked to make it truly a home away from home experience.
What an amazing place to stay with family. It was actually even more beautiful in person. It was well stocked so easily able to make a wonderful Thanksgiving meal.Loved the two fireplaces. Went to the Polar Express. Such a magical weekend
Fabulous rental!!! Could not believe the attention to detail everwhere we turned. From the firestarters placed in each fireplace/firepit to the s'mores sticks in the kitchen and basket of towels for the hot tub, this property exceeded all expectations! Highly recommend! Would definitely stay there again!
The property was as beautiful as the pictures show it to be. We had a couple of small issues that were addressed immediately by the management company. Some of the other reviews made note of the drive into the property. The drive is real. It takes about 20 minutes to get back to the highway so you need to think ahead when going into town. The place is very well stocked so they have tried to anticipate whet you might need. Great place.
The house itself is wonderful! Just a word of caution - it is quite a long and curvy road to the house. Expect a 15-20 minute drive once you turn off the main road into the subdivision. Once there, the location is great - just don't forget anything at the grocery! The loft is rather hot and was unusable in the August heat as there is only one a/c vent for the loft. The furnishings, water toys and house are awesome!
The property was just as described. It was beautiful and spacious enough for our 9 family members. The amenities were awesome!
The only issues we had: there was no ventilation in the upstairs loft, where the pool table and foos ball table were located. There needs to be an exhaust system or ceiling fan up there because all the heat rose to the loft and it was so hot up there, it was almost unbearable.
It would have been nice to have a broom in the house instead of a swiffer.
Lastly, the gate code changed in the middle of our trip and we weren't notified. After several failed attempts to use the gate code, which had just worked the previous evening, we contacted the property management and were told the gate code changed.
Minor things in an overall wonderful stay!!
Home is beautiful and location even more beautiful!! My husband and I took our two teenage boys and four of their friends it was the best week!! The guys had just as much fun at the house in the game room and all getting to stay down stairs together as they did on the lake each day. The home comes with a covered dock. We rented a pontoon boat from Almond Boat rentals. Their boats are spotless and some of the nicest people!! You can keep the boat overnight since it is a covered dock. They will deliver the boat to the house. Note the home is a LONG beautiful winding road from the entrance so make sure you stock up on all the groceries you will need for your trip. The home is one of the best stocked houses I’ve been too but would still bring extra paper towels and TP if you will have a full house. Beds were all so comfy which is always a pet peeve of mine. This house did not disappoint in any way!!!
great location, close to NOC, Bryson City, Asheville, and the GSMNP. Drive up to the house takes about 20 minutes from the main road and is a little narrow (for those not used to driving in mountains). Not a quick run into town kind of road but we loved that the drive was beautiful and helped us slow the pace down a little bit.
The view was amazing and we truly enjoyed our stay.
We were disappointed that the grills did not work properly, only one tv got reception, and the hot tub was filthy and not warm when we arrived. Overall we enjoyed the cabin but expected more up to date tv and working grill. Thank you.
