"The rooms were freezing and when we informed the manager we were told that the heating was broken. It was about 3 degrees outside that night and they didn’t even attempt to give us an electric heater or anything."

"Location perfect. Parking near by works well. In general the place is well equipped and ok condition. Unfortunately, the place was filthy. I’ve read other reviews and I wasn’t fussed about the sofas etc. However the place has not had a proper clean for a long time. We made them come back in the first day to clean the bathrooms as they’d not been done - mould and grime was wiped off by hand when I was in both showers. The first shower over flowed as the plug was blocked therefore hadn’t been checked. Bird crap on windows which hadn’t been cleaned this year I would guess. Dust was everywhere… I could go on but it’s pointless as it won’t get done. I was there to enjoy my break not to monitor whether someone can clean. Still no tea towels provided!"

"Excellent property with wonderful views from living room and two of the bedrooms. A little out of town, but there is parking (for two vehicles (at a piinch) and it is on a bus route - the hourly 17 bus goes past the door."

"Gorgeous little place! Lovely clean rooms with great facilities, breakfast and breakfast choice, lovely hosts and a lovely experience! The walk to brixham harbour is super easy from this location and the parking included is awesome! Thank you so much again for such an amazing weekend! :)"

"We came to Brixham with my husband’s family to celebrate his 40th birthday, we chose Admirals because we needed 4 bedrooms, to be close to the town and a place which allowed dogs. The photos were beautiful on the website and we were looking forward to our stay. We were faced with issues straight away really.The fridge was broken and spoiled our food, we’d spent over 100 on food for the week which had to be thrown away. A replacement fridge was dropped off to the neighbour and we had to collect it ourselves, not something you want to be doing on your holidays!The dishwasher didn’t always work first time and so we had to wait hours for a cycle. Appliances should be tested before guests arrive.Housekeeping needs to be improved. The cottage needs a deep clean - especially carpets and the bathroom. I had to buy cleaning products and bleach the bath mat before I let my daughter have a shower, it was full of mould. When we alerted luxury coastal of these issues, they were unaware, although, the previous guest had left a bad review which included the same problems as we endured.The cottage itself is nice, the bedrooms were lovely, beds comfy, plenty of cupboard space, but housekeeping lets it down. "

"A great little find in Brixham, I contacted Pip before my arrival asking for a early check in and he was very obliging and when I did arrive early I was treated to an upgrade. A great location only 10 mins walk from the town centre. Fantastic breakfast and a great host. I will be sure to come here again if i am ever in Brixham or near by. Thanks Pip for making me feel so welcome."
