Amaroo House is the perfect holiday home for large families or two families traveling together. This spacious home is just a short distance from all Point Lookout beaches and offers a relaxing retreat with a large upper deck overlooking tranquil bushland.

The upper level features a master bedroom with a Queen bed and ensuite, two bedrooms with two singles each, a large kitchen, and a lounge/entertainment area. There are also two bathrooms, including one with a bathtub, perfect for families.

The lower level offers a second master bedroom with a Queen bed, an additional bedroom with two singles, and a lounge/entertainment area — ideal for giving everyone their own space.

This home includes five bedrooms, three bathrooms, two living areas, and an extra kitchenette. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, two fridges, and a Nespresso coffee machine (bring your own pods). Guests can enjoy two TVs and a DVD player for entertainment.

Please note the property is accessed via a steep driveway and is not screened, but it provides a peaceful, private escape just minutes from the beach.

SPECIAL NOTE: Last minute weekend stays are available, please check with Ray White Straddie.

Great location, excellent property. Good communication from the agent.Wifi would be a great be addition. I appreciate it wasn’t in the listing but it’s so normal now I think maybe this should be pointed out more prominently in the listing. Also dropping the key back to the agent seems an extra task when trying to vacate and get to a ferry. Would seem this is for the convenience of the agent when easiest for the customer would be to leave it in the lock box on the property.

Nice enough.

The property was spacious and in a good location. Plenty of cobwebs and dust around the house, no fans or way to cool down besides opening the windows which didn't have screens which definitely let bugs in through the day/night. Was happy enough but not sure I'd strive to stay again if I'm spending the money.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house, much bigger than we initially expected and so much room to hangout with family and mates. Really close to the main area of Point Lookout with so much to do. Wish we had stayed longer. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway in nature that is still close to the action of stradbroke!

Gorgeous place, perfect for large famiky group.

We were a multi generation family group. The spaces were fantastic for sleeping / room sharing for uncoupled adults and children (cousins, grandparents). We did have a grandparent with knee trouble, and the stairs were a struggle, so recommend being aware of accessibility, however there is a parking area on the same level as the bottom floor of property, and internal stairs were safer.The seperate floors provided space for quiet, and the deck was great for family meals.9 am checkout was tough.There was no heating in property and we were there on a cold weekend, but i imagine any other weather this wouldn't be noticed. There was only one wine glass, but all otger kitchen needs were there. There was some board games (twister and jr cludo) but we were glad we brought our own for whole family ...only a short walk to beach and shops, so great priximity to amneties.The bbq was dirty when we arrived, but we cleaned it up and had a nice time.

Very poor and mouldy property

House was not cleaned, dead cockroach and live ones throughout the house. Spiderwebs and spiders throughout property. Pantry smelt so bad you could not use. All linen smelt mouldy and felt dirty, children could not use linen provided as the mouldy smell was giving them headaches told property managers however were not offered clean linen that didn’t smell of mould. Kitchen light did not work when we rang they said they would change when we left as they could not get handy man, so had to cook in dark. The house was very ran down and shower screen did not close. The couches had sand all over them. Bins were filthy and one was mouldy. Kitchen sink leaking and toilet needs a new system as use constantly running. I could go on very terrible property.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Dirt and dust in all corners of the house. Blinds mouldy, cobwebs and thick dust on windows. All furnishings are stained, broken tiles and vanity units falling apart.Balcony railing loose and dangerous with a 3 metre fall.This property needs a good clean and stripping of all furnishings, especially the old rusty Locker. Filthy and poor state.Driveway is extremely steep and slippery, even in 4wd.This property is not fit for rent as is and needs a serious clean out.

Plenty of room for two families as each level has a bathroom, kitchen, dining and living areas. Very close to a food shop, and close drive to beaches. One downside is the driveway is extremely steep! We're talking "feeling like you're lying down while you drive up" steep. Only room for one car in the carport, but plenty of street parkingAnother downside is the property is very dated. No fly screens on any windows and I'm not sure what the cleaner's role is, as every corner and nook had dead bugs, spider webs and dirt in it. The house would be much more inviting if it was fixed up a little

Every tap leaks! No dishwasher! Washing machine didn’t work! BBQ - Weber q - only half of it works as it hasn’t ever been cleaned properly- it is sitting inside another broken down one!! When we arrived the flies were extremely bad as the fish that had been cleaned on the driveway were just hosed off into the garden! If this house had some TLC it would be great!

Not so positive - no dishwasher or ceiling fans, so summer would be hot. Driveway and access is steep but we knew that beforehand.

Close to beach and shops

Lovely short bushwalk to Main beach, and minutes away from shops by car, it was a perfect location for a family getaway with friends. There is a long and steep set of stairs to the main entrance though - it was fine for young family but something to consider for old people.
