Beaver Run is great for Location, but dated. The lift is right outside the door. All units have a ski locker on the first floor, so you don’t have to lug your gear upstairs. The ski school is right down the stairs, as well as multiple restaurants, ski rentals, a spa, pool (indoor and outdoor), mini golf and small arcade. You never really have to go outside unless you want to. The shuttle will bring you and pick you up from nearly all places in town. This unit is in building 2 of 4, so closest walk among the 4 buildings to the center of the resort. There is parking (extra $), and there is a garage at 7’2”, but we had a car topper and parked outside our building.
The unit is a well appointed two bedroom with plenty of space, & 3 queen beds. They were comfortable and the pillows seemed newer too. Although Beaver Run does not do housekeeping for this unit, there were plenty of towels and sheets in the unit should you need to change anything. We stayed for a week, and you had to call for housekeeping, but we never did so. They did not come to replenish toiletries, but we got some from Beaver Run. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, utensils, spices, paper towels, garbage bags, and plates for all of us to eat and cook. There are humidifiers for each room that we ran nonstop. They had sleds too, but we were too tired from skiing all day to go sledding. There is also a wooden restaurant style high chair. Given the age of Beaver Run, the ceilings are low. So my 6’4” husband found the showerheads to be low, too.
There is public laundry on the 2nd floor that is shared btw building 2 & 3, w/ 6 washers and dryers each, $1.75 for wash and $1.50 dry. It gets busy in the evenings, so you should keep track of how long each cycle takes, as to be courteous to other guests.
Over the last 6 years, we have stayed at the Cedars Townhomes, The Village, River Mtn Lodge, and Beaver Run. Our preference is The Village because it is newer and the unit layouts are bigger and nicer w/ better furniture. Beaver Run in our 2nd choice, and this unit was the better ones we have stayed in. For our family of 6 (kids ages 13, 11, and 8), it was a good fit for us.
