Everything about our stay ticked all the boxes, bar one. Pros: Helpful welcoming staff, good food, beautiful accommodation. Cons: Not really suitable for anyone with mobility problems. No ground floor rooms in main building and no lifts. The are steps to every bedroom.

Great situation

lovely old Manor House set in gorgeous well kept grounds. Be aware there is no lift and a lot of stairs, not an issue for us. Room was quiet, clean, warm and comfortable. Never found the hairdryer but no big deal. We didn’t eat there so can comment on food and service in the restaurant.

Good experience

If you are looking for a hotel with history and character, in lovely grounds, then this is for you. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our beds were comfortable and the hotel is spotlessly clean. There is a pleasant bar and large dining areas. Breakfast was plentiful with a very good range of options. My only slight criticism would be that the breakfast room could benefit from re decorating. I would definitely go back to this hotel.

The hotel is set in lovely grounds and is a friendly place, the rooms are in a new part of the complex not the building from the 1500’s which was good!! I love soft beds, it was the best sleep I’ve had in a hotel since forever, even in the heatwave heat!

The hotel was perfect for our needs. One night stay over for an event at Wembley. The hotel is lovely albeit a little tired. Probably needs a refresh but based on price and the area I would definitely book again. The staff were the stand out for us. Beautiful setting, very nice area. We stayed in the main building and the decor is breathtaking. Breakfast was ok, I wish the bread was real bread, hot milk was available and the pastries were brought in more regularly. Savoury options were good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Arguably the best UK hotel i have stayed in within the past 15 years and that’s saying something! From the old-world charm of individually named rooms to the polite and friendly staff and the quality of the food, my stay was top drawer! Even a couple of minor issues that I brought to the staff’s attention were handled quickly and professionally; I will definitely be back!
