"Pool and hot tubs lights were broken so it was not available for use and I was really looking forward to it. The outside of the building was very pretty with design accents that were beautiful. However the walls and floors were incredibly thin and we could literally hear everything from upstairs. Seems to me they spent money on the wrong things when it was built."

"The staff was very efficient and helpful. Location, great. Our room was a disappointment. Room was outdated, stuffy, and hadn't been cleaned properly. There were crumbs all over one of nightstands, with lots of little handprints on it. The outside wall with a window had a very large stain on it, which appeared to be patched, but still looked like we were staying at the site of an old crime scene. Also, no comfortable place to sit in lobby area :("

"The desk clerk named “Mimi” was EXTREMELY HELPFUL to us when we discovered that our reservation had not been effective. She worked with us to get the same type of room that we thought we had reserved. Mimi should be recognized by her boss - she is a GREAT representative of what an employee SHOULD BE!!!"

"This was a unique experience with pros and cons. Only stayed one night with family as we were just visiting for the one day. The location was convenient enough to access Boone and other area communities. The attempt to update an older motel was clever and attractive. The cabins behind us looked beautiful. Our rooms seemed in mid update. The front office was located in a older looking traditional motel. If it was not raining/and foggy there was probably a nice view of the tree lined mountaintops around the facility. There were amenities outside(grills, picnic tables) if the weather was nicer or staying longer. The staff were friendly in the office. Pros - the log cabin look, fireplace, private balcony, spacious room, Cons - the carpet and bathroom needed updating (tears and burn marks, cracked tile), broken blinds, no lock on balcony door, very minimal amenities in room (no shampoo/conditioner, no firewood). Might stay again but would like to see the items above updated."

"The bed was a little hard. We found ants in the room on the table. We got a room with a jetted tub. The jets didn't work. It is close to the main road. We heard traffic all night. I would stay there again if I had to, but not my first choice. We didn't eat the breakfast, so i can't comment on that."
