"One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Scrupulously clean, very quiet despite being across from the train station, excellent location for transport and the Royal Mile, friendly staff, many welcoming and personal touches. I am sensitive to fragrances and while the soaps had a scent of natural oil (like birch, not a floral or chemical smell) it was not overpowering. The floors were uncarpeted which also made the room more hygienic. Stylish, with a great view of the city from the top floor lounge. Worth every penny."
