This region offers a tranquil and picturesque setting, defined by rolling hills, vineyards, and expansive rural landscapes. Accommodation options primarily consist of renovated gîtes, charming bed and breakfasts, and elegant country estates, many of which are located amongst their own vineyards or gardens. While Bona itself is a small village, the appeal lies in its immediate surroundings.

For couples seeking a peaceful and luxurious escape, this area is ideal. You'll find properties offering private terraces with stunning views, gourmet dining experiences using local produce, and opportunities for wine tasting right on your doorstep. The focus here is on relaxation and enjoying the natural beauty and culinary delights of Bourgogne.

Solo travellers looking for a quiet retreat and a chance to explore the natural beauty of the French countryside will also find this area perfect. Many properties offer walking and cycling routes directly accessible from their grounds, and the serene environment provides an excellent opportunity for reflection and unwinding.

The best times to go to Bona are typically during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the vineyards are at their most picturesque.

During late spring, the region awakens with lush greenery and blooming flowers. The average temperatures range from 15°C to 20°C, making it ideal for exploring the vineyards on foot or by bicycle. This period also sees fewer crowds than the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed experience. It's a lovely time for couples who want to enjoy scenic walks and wine tastings without the hustle and bustle.

Early autumn offers a different kind of beauty, with the vineyards transforming into golden and russet hues as the harvest season begins. Temperatures are still mild, usually between 12°C and 18°C. This is a particularly good time for those interested in the winemaking process, as many wineries offer special harvest tours and events.
