It was an amazing stay. Very big and clean rooms. The only negative was that the reception closes too soon i.e 8.00 pm. Other than that it was a great hotel

We booked a room at this property at the last minute during our driving travels. The reception closes at 8pm, so it was a bit of a mad dash. Thankfully Alden (?) at the desk was willing to wait the few extra minutes for our arrival. The bed ended up being the most comfortable of our trip. The shower and bath amenities were lovely. We enjoyed the fireplace and the coffee/tea. Having milk in the fridge was much appreciated! Wish we had more time to spend at this beautiful property.

Old fashioned, somewhat tired. Clean, comfortably and in need for upgrading the under resourced food preparation facilities. Microwave, oven, larger fridge would help.

This property is well located and room/loft is clean and spacious. However, wifi is limited and didn’t work, not acceptable for a facility purport to be luxurious and above 4 stars. Second TV didn’t work, and the tea/coffee making facility is scantly stocked. No bottled water or biscuit of any kind. Overall, we felt the experience and facility and service was average. Buffet breakfast not value for money, do not waste your money on breakfast here.

Great service, friendly staff on check in. Room was well looked after and very clean. Few minor issues - pillows were very soft and only 2 sleeping pilllws were on our king bed. Our bar fridge was not working and staff provided us with an ice bucket to keep our drinks cold (we only needed to use the fridge to keep some celebratory drinks cold, following our wedding ceremony. Overall it was a great stay, minus those 2 very small issues.

Stayed here for my birthday weekend in the upper mountains for a staycation night. Loved it. Lovely accomodation (we had the loft apartment), breakfast and grounds. Short walk or very quick drive to dining options in the village. Loved the fireplace in the room, perfect winter snug, yet sophisticated stay

Excellent property. Felt like own private townhouse . Good condition and well maintained, gave a great feel. If I had to fault anything would be the pillows as not the best but rest all cannot fault. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment

Our stay was lovely - comfortable, quiet and roomy space, with beautiful balcony view over the garden. Staff were extremely helpful when we needed assistance. Grounds beautiful in any weather for a stroll. EV charging station within on-site parking was a big advantage, however when we hoped to charge the night before departing another guest (non-EV vehicle) had taken the charging spot. Still there on the morning before departure. Perhaps some signage designating EV spaces might be useful to discourage others from parking for their convenience?

Great room, beautiful surroundings and comfortable beds. One thing to make it better is to have 4 cups, glasses, plates etc catered for 4 people (family booking for 4 persons), rather than for 2 people.

Staff were attentive and great. The gardens are beautiful. The room I stayed in was not properly cleaned. There was a lot of dust, dead bugs and an overall feeling of not being maintained or thoroughly cleaned in the loft room.
