"I booked this stay last minute and immediately tried to cancel it but Bergen Guesthouse does not accept cancellations. The property is close to the city center, inexpensive and newly - in progress - renovated. However, the walls are paper thin, the rooms lack comfort (our window didn’t close properly, only a ceiling light, no bedside lights, the power outlets didn’t work properly, no TV, no mirror). One full bath and one out of order bathroom to share between 4 rooms on the level we stayed....

"The location was excellent, very close to the city center, and the size of the house with six bedrooms was also good. However, the overall condition of the house did not match what we expected based on the photos shown on the website. The photos only show one bedroom and the living room, which are in acceptable condition, but the rest of the house—including the other five bedrooms, the kitchen, and the second bathroom—were older and in worse condition than the areas shown in the pictures.
