The air conditioning rattles louder than the local train line behind the hotel making it difficult sleep and there is no ceiling fan to keep cool as an alternative. The furniture is stained, possibly with mildew. The bathroom has limescale, mould and a blocked sink. The bathroom towels were frayed and grey. The light switches had been weirdly painted over. Uncomfortable bed and bedding. The water is not drinkable, yet they only give you 2 small bottles...

"Thaala Bentota is an excellent place to relax during a vacation. Awesome location and amazing food. The rooms and fittings inside the room are a bit worn out and may need replacement to enhance the visitors' experience."

"We had a lovely stay at the Riverside Inn Fuji. The room was huge and immaculately clean with great air-conditioning. The grounds were also well maintained in a picturesque setting by the river. The pool was a nice bonus."

"Henry the owner is the perfect host. Staff were very caring and helpful! Pool is great! Food was one of the highlights. Fantastic wildlife in the garden with parrot, fish, fire flies, chip monks and lizards. Mosquito free veranda. Tuc, tuc and van available anytime. Wonderful beach only 2 min tuk tuk ride away. Best relaxing holiday we have had in 2 months of traveling."
