"Main light did not work, and in the dark, I had to move the bed to access a dangerous wall socket for the bedside light. There was nowhere to put clothes, items or a desk to use and no chair and no space for this anyway. Better if the small double bed was swopped for a single to allow a desk & chair to be put in. The steep and shallow stairs were a safety hazard, so be careful. And the TV didn't allow access to Freeview! There was no crockery or cutlery to use despite advertising a well-equipped...

We stayed for 2 nights at the Wight. One double room one single. Overall it is as advertised the pool is very nice size. The double room was a nice size, the bathrooms are on the small side the width of the bath room is as wide as the shower tray so very narrow, but we managed ok. rest of room is fine. Single room had slightly bigger bath room. Very clean and tidy and staff very helpful, breakfast very big ,large selection. I would stay here again no issues'

Located right on the shore of the Solent RIver and close to the CBD of Ryde, this old castle was a perfect stay and it was a pleasure to watch all the boats and ships going in and out of the Port of Southampton, as well of the coming and goings of the hovercraft nearby. Room was not huge, but a reasonable size for the two of us and comfortable. Room was in good condition and the staff were friendly and prompt. Whilst there is parking on site, it is also available to patrons of the hotel so...
