This property is right in the hutongs and it is amazing! It is super convenient, just a few minutes walk from a subway station, right in the middle of two. Little restaurants and shops nearby for convenient needs and meals. It only took us 20 minutes to get to Forbidden City by subway. The property has two separate apartments, both with full bathrooms. One has a living room, the other has a kitchen & laundry. One has a master bed and a lofted queen futon. The other has two lifted futons. SUPER comfortable beds, amazing light, and a wonderful shared courtyard to enjoy the cool Beijing summer evening. We took advantage of the courtyard every night, listening to quiet music and playing cards. The kitchen first have the plumbing quite right so there is a smell that comes from the sink. We had to keep the window open to help with the odor. Since this is an independently owned property, you will have to register with the PSB on your own if you are not a Chinese citizen. The landlord was super helpful in meeting us at the neighborhood PSB to file appropriately. She also made some great recommendations to eat & get coffee in the neighborhood. Super friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
