Jill's welcoming friendliness, or the well-appointed kitchenette, or the wonderful outdoor shower, right next to the pond filled with blue lotus, and the breakfast table - all these and more. But it's the location, 5 minutes to Manini Beach if you walk slowly. Looking across Kealakekua Bay, Captain Cook's monument is right there, best snorkeling on the island. Four miles down the road to City of Refuge and Two-Step, another great snorkel spot. Outside of the hustle and bustle of Kailua, quiet and restorative, but only 20 minutes away if you're missing it. I can't wait to go back."

"Came as strangers and left feeling like family. Tina and Keri are absolutely amazing hosts. Not only do they share their little piece of paradise but they also spoil you with fresh homemade muffins, fresh fruit from their property and eggs from their lovely chickens! Everything you could need was provided- chairs, cooler, umbrellas, towels etc! They had many guidebooks to help you find the best beaches, hikes etc. and were often around to answer any questions or give tips on where to go. We also enjoyed hanging out and getting to know them. Hawaii keeps calling us back and now we have a home away from home to go to! We can’t wait to return!"

It's very quiet and relaxing, with enough space to spread out but also nice places to hang out together. Bring binoculars to check out the dolphins in the bay most days. "
