This was our second time staying at this property and were again treated to a wonderful stay. Thank You to Tom and staff for everything, we will be back.
Unit was situated in the center of the little town of Bass Lake, CA. The 4th of July parade was incredible, followed by what possibly was the best fireworks display in the State of California hands down. The Marina Resturant , also owned by the same folks for lunch everyday was superb. The apartment was immaculate and the people involved were delightful. Thanks !!

The good, the bad and the ugly
I’ll start with the positive; the room was lovely, it was clean, spacious, and very close to the lake. Huge perk if you also get discounts at the marina and restaurant! The hot tub was perfect and secluded. Such a peaceful location and being able to do our laundry was amazing as well.
The ugly.. like pretty much every single other review the check in process was the worst out of every VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. And that feels like an understatement. And you get absolutely no service once you are up at the location so please make sure to get in contact before you get there. If that doesn’t work then go to the restaurant at the marina and ask for Tom. Also, for some reason there’s no silverware which is odd so prepare for that if you’re bringing your own food.
Overall it was beautiful and peaceful, albeit a bit frustrating.

Mostly nice place
My wife insisted on a place with a hot tub, and in this the place did not disappoint, we greatly enjoyed the private jacuzzi. The location was OK, store and shoppes and restaurants nearby. Lake view is just a slice between buildings, it is about 1/4 mile away, no swim area accessible without a drive. Wifi worked well once we got it up; our phones did not connect to anything without wifi.
The check-in process was extremely frustrating. I saw other reviews noting a problem so left a message 2 days before to ask about it with no response, and called VRBO at noon while we were in the valley. When we arrived we had no phone or data connection so could not access the promised email to be sent at the time of check in; no businesses in the neighborhood could help us; and when I finally figured out the phone # for the manager, terrible connection, it went to voice mail. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE PRIOR TO ARRIVAL THE WIFI PASSWORD SAVED SOMEWHERE NOT NEEDING INTERNET ACCESS.
The rooms are as pictured, clean, nice, comfortable beds and couches. The kitchenette is very sparsely supplied. There was not a regular coffee machine but only a Keurig, with no pods or filter; local store had none as well. I bought a hardware funnel and paper filters to make coffee. Only 2 mugs and 1 glass, no dishes or utensils even a plastic spoon. Fridge and sink were functional. You need to bring EVERYTHING ELSE YOU NEED for any food/meal preparation.
Comfortable place with a few challenges.
Communications were clear, and the location was perfect for easy access to Bass Lake Village. Everything worked well and the entire unit was in good shape/well-maintained. We would definitely stay again.
We love the property, this was my first time going to Yosemite and the property made everything more special. It was easy to find and the location was breathtaking.
The place was spotless and very roomy!! Cheryl was quick to respond and offer any additional needed necessities. It is walking distance from the lake, market, marina grill, and other small town businesses. 10/10 would reccomend!
Newly renovated and gorgeous! The location was unbeatable. We watched the triathlon from the front steps and could walk to get anything we needed. We at a small hiccup at check in but it was solved immediately and professionally. Thank you for a great stay! We will be back!
Great location and suite. Easy to find, convenient parking spot and not far from Yosemite NP. This spot is walking distance to everything and we enjoyed a really good dinner / breakfast at Duceys at The Lake. The suite itself was clean and came stocked with everything we could need (fridge/microwave/coffee maker/ mugs.) We also enoyed the patio with hot tub that we were able to relax in after our long day to view Firefalls. There was a slight hiccup with check in because at the time there was no suite number listed but host got back to us in a short amount of time and everything was fine. We plan on staying here for any future visits to the area.
These new suites are beautiful and spacious. They were well thought out and the finishings are very nice. The back deck and spa with firepit was really nice too. I would (and will) stay here again! I didn't want to leave.
A couple of suggestions for the owner (I know this listing is brand new - no complaints at all, just a couple of suggestions for the future). The Keurig, mugs, plastic cutlery, and wine opener were appreciated. Two glasses (a pint or old fashioned type glass?) would be appreciated for making a drink or wine. Maybe two plates, or even a cutting board? I brought snacks (charcuterie) , but we found we had nothing to eat off of. A small thing of dish soap and a sponge would be great too if you're staying more than one day, would be nice to be able to wash your mugs.
Also, the pillows, although comfy, were a little puffy for smaller people (me). Maybe a 2nd set of not quite as fluffy pillows and possibly another blanket in case you like a heavier feeling when sleeping.
Other than that, it was amazing and I can't wait to come back!
Thank you so much!!
