Clean and tidy, nice grounds with a pool. Enjoyed a swim to cool off after travelling. Had a clean and tidy room, nothing fancy with a spa bath but it didn't work so it was just a big bath, still good because I don't have one at home. New owners first day - friendly and helpful - when we mentioned the spa bath not working said they were planning repairs and renovations but no offer of discount given that we paid extra for this room. They had us pay on arrival which I have never had to do before. Overall very good and we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay the motel is quite old and ready for a complete facelift. Rooms were spotless and the bed was comfortable...the tv was too small but bearable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

i enjoyed my stay but the lights in our bathroom/dressing room didnt work and i was confused as to what was garden and caroark outside our room but didnt find our bed super comfortable

Cats downer but room great!
Nice spacious room with good layout. Pool looked nice and surrounding areas were pleasant. Curtains could run better on tracks but my two main issues were that soundproofing needs work. I could hear every conversation from the adjoining rooms. There is a resident cat, which was not made known, and spent a good deal of time outside my room. I have a life threatening allergy to cats. This made me upset. I did say to the reception in morning I feel they should have to disclose if they allow pets to roam the property and considering how many people have severe allergies to cats, I really think they should not be allowed to wander around the gusts areas.

Kitchenette was a two burner unit under the sink. Two lights failed to work so reading was very difficult. Cooked toast in the room and the fire detector went off, as did the guy next door. Numerous bugs were eliminated by pray and by splat. Needed a stick to engage the spay as the button was too far to be engaged by hand. Not a nice weekend at all.

Issues of the hotel
The bathroom shower water pressure was extremely low, tough to adjust water temperature. The beds are warn and too soft, sunk in the middle.Wifi virtually not working, slow to a crawl.

Stay was fine, nothing exceptional. Other visitors were a bit noisy but I suppose that is to be expected on Saturday night. Drinking outside there rooms and in the walkway. Cars coming and going at all hours

We booked 3 nights accommodation at this hotel and after 2 nights we had to check out as I couldn’t sleep on that terrible mattress again. The room was meant to have been updated at some stage but I don’t know when as apart from having a flat screen tv it was very dated. There was signs in our rooms with pics of their breakfast saying it was the best in town which made it a bit weird. We didn’t eat there. The pool looked nice and clean though.

clean and comfortable little motel
Clean and comfortable rooms, bathrooms were a little dated and there was no internet connection/WiFi. The staff was very friendly and helpful when approached about directions and nearby eateries. Overall, my son and I had a very pleasant stay at El Sierra and would recommend it to people who are travelling through the area.

Quiet and relaxing
Stayed for three days and enjoyed it. facilities are good and the area is beautirul if you like river scenery, walks and lazy driving. A pleasant walk (2k) to the pub. A good place to use as a base to explore this section of the Murray (Muwala to Tocumwal) at a nice steady pace. Motel staff were polite, helpful but unobtrusive.

Stayed 3 nights older style motel no housekeeping was attended. Towels really stiff / hard very old definetly need new ones. Needed to programme t.v all channels unavailable. Basic accomadation good price however compared to other motels closeby. Nice pool area overall ok for night accomadation

Travelled around with grand kids. This was $40 more than any of our other stays & was by far the worst. We only had just 3 towels supplied for 4 & no face washers. Not even hair dryer. We brought soap powder & did a load of washing & told dryer free. The dryer did not even work the knob came off in hand - we had to place wet clothes around room as 8.30 at night & go to a laundromat in morning. The cleanliness was shocking - under the 2 single beds heaps of dead bugs. Took kids to pool & people drinking inside pool area with glasses & stubbies when sign was up banning glass.

Lovely receptionist friendly the rooms are all comfortable and clean and breakfast is in a lovely room with all artefacts from around the world, staff are great to talk about the area and all around Barooga.The garden area is quiet and relaxing amongst the palms. Special place to stay.

Long weekend stay
Pleasantly surprised as had read reviews. We had no problem and enjoyed the room and overall aspect of the grounds and facilities. Considering almost full capacity it was quiet. My only gripe is that like most motels the mattresses are cheap and hard. I dream of having a decent mattress for once.

Family get away
We were looking for a quick break away for the family and El Sierra Motel fit the bill. Well priced and clean. The family room was spacious with the separate children's room. The pool area was welcoming and had shaded areas to sit out of the sun. Would highly recommend this motel to anyone, families and golfers alike.

Peace and Relaxation
A very relaxing short stay after a long drive for a business trip. A very friendly team of staff greeting you. Clean and well kept grounds and pool area. We had a large setout room and great value for money. Will definitely keep in mind for future trips.
