"The property and staff were mostly great. I want to say the pictures exaggerated the room a bit but we also went during a rainy weekend so maybe that had a part in it. Mostly the only slight complaint we had was the room amenities. There was no microwave for simple reheating of food in the room. The ac unit in the room has a remote and it works but the remote doesn't have a display of info due to burn in, so you can't see anything and it's hard to tell what the ac is at, the fan, etc. It was nice being in close proximity to everything we had going on for our stay. Food was within walking distance and beautiful atmosphere. My wife loved the retro / vintage vibe. She was geeked out to walk through the outside patio and see the murals. I wish it wasn't raining so we could have enjoyed it more. We had the loft above the reception hall, and it was nice to have the private patio with the sign lit up at night. It was relaxing to have the blue lights peeking through the windows and created an ambiance for a great night's sleep. Bed was on the firm side, I'm sure it's heavenly for some.. However, it was really hard to sleep well and not feel sore the next day. Thank you New Yorker for a nice experience for our first ever experience of Miami! :)"
