"Hotel is very pretty. Room large, pretty and comfortable. Well designed, but with some modern annoyances - can't use fake card key. Desk clerk very friendly and helpful (Arthur). Own secure outside parking area with gate that is closed at night. Restaurant good, but may not belong to hotel. Internet connection blocks ssh. We have junior suite, which is quite large and very nice. Hotel fronts on canal, and view is fantastic. City is very pretty from this viewpoint. Breakfast good. Thermostat appears to be only decorative. I like this place a lot. Definitely better than the usual 4*."

"This is a pleasant characterful property, with the sort of period charm we prefer rather than clincal modernity. The check-in was efficient and welcoming. Our top floor room was spacious and comfortable wth a good sofa as a bonus. The breakfast was continental, with no hot options as expected. The only thing that stopped this from being 5star is that, despite nice touches like an orange juicing machine and plum moelleux cake, there was less than average choice of standard items of prepared fruit and pastries. This was just a stopover for us on the way back to the ferry from Switzerland, so we didn't spend time in the town other than to view the river from the bridge, and enjoy the local cuisine and ambience at the Bonaventure in the main square."

"Easy to find. Lots of parking.Felt secure and well lit at night. The most warm and efficient welcome Beds and pillows very comfortable. Good soundproofing. Very good value breakfast. Ate next door at The steakhouse..Excellent steak and ice cream."

"It is a classic feeling French space that is spacious but just be prepared for things not to be at 4 star level. Full access to the kitchen is nice and you will have large downstairs and outdoor areas to use. If you have mobility issues avoid because of the circular staircase. Quiet area. "

"So I came here at the last minute due to a problem with another hotel. B&B was a life saver, with clean rooms and efficient staff. I would stay here again any day of the week "
