There was great communication and the staff was really helpful. The room was modern and clean. If your looking for a comfortable bed this is it. I slept like a baby!

Great little boutique hotel. Room was super clean. Cool modern look and feel. Neat watching birds in the creek outside on our balcony. Perfect alternative to the chains.

Unfortunately, it is nothing like advertised. The “creek view” room I paid extra for was actually a view of an old storage building. You could see the creek if you leaned waaaayyyy over the balcony and looked far to the left. No room service. Extremely limited breakfast menu. No elevator. Parking is far away from the 2 nd building where our room was located and not very well lit at all. The lamp didn’t work in our room. It was dusty and very stingy on the linens. Thankful, the night clerk carried our big suitcase up two flights of stairs. This is the only good thing I can say about this place. A HUGE disappointment.

We stayed here for Valentine’s Day. It was very secluded and romantic! The drinks at the bar on property are delicious, and they had games available to play. Really wonderful place for young couples.

I loved the view from our balcony getting to watch the egrets and ducks. The room had an aesthetic that was pleasing and original. I liked the bench with the table for extra seating. I liked the fluffy pillows. The mattress was not comfortable though and caused my husband a backache.

This properties at an excellent location. The property design and facilities are nice. The properties a bit dated. The hot water failed so we’re unable to take hot showers. The facility was unresponsive and dealing with this issue, and they still have not responded to my request for conversations with management

Issue after issue
No elevator to bring luggage upstairs, dirty cup in room, patio door lock was broken, bugs were swarming the patio, shower didn't get hot enough to take a shower. Not a good experience and definitely didn't feel like a 4 star hotel. Will not be back.

We found this quaint little boutique hotel to be very romantic. It was too cold to enjoy the pool but the small on-site bar and grill made up for it with the midcentury modern decor and the live jazz music. A perfect weekend getaway spot for couples.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ruby! It’s such a quiet hotel with beautiful views of the river. The trees were changing color and we had so many good bird sightings! It’s in a quiet spot but super walkable to the little square and super close to hopping back on 35. We would for sure stay here again!

The Ruby was a refreshing change from your typical hotel options available in a smaller city. Its charming property, impeccably clean rooms, and friendly staff create an experience above and beyond what you'd ever receive in a chain hotel and for the exact same price. Should I have the occasion to visit Round Rock again, I wouldn't think twice about where to stay!

Overall great, with some room for improvement
I stayed in one of the corner suites which was very lovely. Everything was really nicely appointed with great decor. Sheets were very nice and comfortable. The restaurant bar serves great food and drinks. And each night I was there they had live music which was great. Also all the front desk receptionists were very nice and helpful. The gym was clean and well equipped with everything you might need and the pool was nice and refreshing. My only complaint was that the shower never got completely hot and it took a very long time to warm up. I said something the first night and they sent someone to fix it. That improved the water pressure (which had also been low) but the temp continued to be only a notch or two above lukewarm.

Ruby rocks
Very happy we chose to stay at The Ruby and not in a hotel in Austin. It was amazing to be right on the creek and watching nature doing its thing everyday. Quiet neighbourhood to walk and run around. We aren’t City people so enjoyed the mid century vibes and more rural location of this hotel, yet it had a cool little town and Austin was only a 20 minute drive. A super chill and cool stay.

We had already been to Ruby and loved the views from the balcony but forgot that it doesn't have an elevator (no kidding!) and does NOT have a mircrowave (more no kidding!!). The frig is also super small. The AC is located behind one wall and I heard the whom-whom ALL day and night. Sorry Ruby but it's a no-go from here on out.

We certainly understand the elevator concern, though we would be happy to accommodate ground-level rooms in the future, and there is also a microwave available at all times, though not in each room.
