"Nothing unique, just a well run pleasant hotel. It's in an business estate that's empty at night,so it's very quiet, but no pubs or shops nearby but plenty in town"

"Got in after a 15 hour day to no hot water. So I had to settle for a tepid warm bath & straight to bed. Hotel is a great building with plenty of character but unfortunately everything is so worn out & tired. No plugs near the bed, very small tv & paid as much as a nice hotel. Not good 👍 I would not recommend."

"Happy with my 2 night stay. The room was comfortable and clean. Good location in town, a nice bar and a great beer garden. The guest discount is a nice feature. I ate in the resturant and the food was excellent. The staff were friendly and as a solo traveller it was nice to chat with locals and the owner who made me feel welcome. I have stayed in many places in Shrewsbury and this is great value and one of the best options. I would stay again."

"Knew there was an excellent breakfast available but due to the event I was attending did not use this service. Was able to use the parking facilities which was a boon. Great lighting and open so felt safe, as I am disabled. "

"We loved our stay and will return but the housekeeping in the rooms needs to improve (barely acceptable), the bed linen is beautiful though. The setting and the rest of the hotel makes it worth it though!"

"It's in a lovely location and adequate for us as a base, but the place badly needs refurbishment. The lift was out of order, no food available and as a whole it's very tatty."
