"Good morning, I just wanted to let you know that I experienced a few problems with breakfast during our stay. Firstly, on Saturday morning, when I asked for a coffee, I was given a half cup of cold black coffee by a young man. I did not say anything at the time. The following morning, I bought my own coffee and noticed that everyone else in the restaurant was being served coffee in a small cafetière. I did not understand why this was not offered to me. Also, on Sunday morning, I ordered Eggs Royale. Instead, I was served two boiled eggs on smoked salmon with what looked like two spoons of mayonnaise. I mentioned to the staff that it was not Eggs Royale, but again I left it, as they did not seem to know how to deal with the issue. We had also booked a table on Friday night and could not understand why there were two different dining rooms — one with tablecloths and one plain. When I made the booking, I believed we would be seated in the main restaurant, as there was nothing on the website explaining the difference. Otherwise, the food on Friday night was good and the bedroom was lovely. However, we travel frequently in Scotland and, unfortunately, I will not be returning. "The house is in a brilliant location, easily walkable to restaurants and the three Gullane golf courses. Parking easy,right outside. It was warm and the beds were comfortable. It's probably fair to say that the downstairs bathroom could do with a bit of tlc but for the price it is a great value base in Gullane."

"This cottage was very cosy and had everything that you might need for a relaxing holiday. The owners live a few yards away and were so friendly and helpful. You will need some confidence to reverse your car down to the area next to the accommodation and it was so peaceful and secluded during our stay. Highly recommend. "
