"The room was as the pictures shown, nice and enough space for three of us without issue. The closet door handle had apparently been overused, and the handle was just kind of hanging there. Aside from that, the room was nice, the balcony was nice. Parking was always hit or miss on if you would get a spot close to your room. Every night except one we parked quite a way away from our room. Breakfast crew was attentive at replenishing what was out. One of the days had to take breakfast upstairs to a table, as all the tables down at the breakfast area were full. "

"We had a great stay here. The place is bright, clean, and instantly feels warm the moment you walk in. It’s tucked in a quiet spot that makes the whole setting feel serene and peaceful — exactly what we were hoping for.The proximity to the ocean is a real perk; you can be on the beach in just a couple of minutes. It’s also an easy drive to Cannon Beach and other interesting spots along the coast, so exploring never felt like a chore.Inside, the house is clearly set up with families in mind, but the amenities still made us feel pampered. Cooking on the Wolf gas range was a surprise highlight, and the pebble-floor showers added a nice touch after long days outside.Overall, it’s a warm, family-focused place that strikes a rare balance: peaceful, practical, and just indulgent enough that you actually feel like you’re on vacation. We’d happily stay here again."

"House is beautiful. Very clean. Right next to the beach best location for sure. Good for teens and parents. Had beach chairs, for pit beautiful view. Make the short drive to short shore it’s a short easy hike in the wood to an amazing creek and beach! Spend a day there take fire starter log and lunch trust me! Found agates just amazing forest views great for photos of beach and forest. The beach at the house is magical also you. A walk for miles in both directions tons of silver dollars. Huge point entrance was and closed and that’s too far to walk so drive down to haystack on at low tide they have the best tide pools. But there are small tide pools at the beach in front of the house too. Bring rain boots and rain jackets. It was a must have. House has very soft amazing beds! We watched Goonies and twilight just to get in the spirit lol. We grilled dinner most night it was perfect had all the stuff you need. Including sand toys, med side rain jackets and blankets and chair for beach. Even when tide is high you can walk the beach! Lots of fire wood to have a fire in beach but bring a starter log or two. Watch the sunset in the beach w a fire it’s worth it! The beach empty most days the neighborhood is clear, beautiful and everyone was so nice! Short drive to Astoria must see Goonies house and film museum. Very glad I stayed at this house instead of staying in Astoria though much nice area and the beach was pretty with tons of hiking. "Easy access through the front door. The view did not disappoint from the pictures and the kitchen was very well stocked with all of the appliances and utensils you could want. Also the grill had propane and the added board games shelf was great! "

"Our stay at the Hemlock House was wonderful! It very comfortably fit two families with kids, who spent much of the time when not at the beach playing foosball, doing puzzles (the house has many puzzles and books), and playing hide and seek. The gas fireplaces are very cozy, and the adults even spent a night watching a movie on Apple TV. The kitchen is small but well stocked with tools, including crackers for crab, nice pots and pans, and sharp knives. The beach is a 5 minute walk away with easy access. It is definitely a well loved older home with minor wear issues - which with children, I appreciate not having to worry about spilled milk or a scuff on the floor. I very much appreciated that the flooring was all hard (no carpet), and my tree and weed allergies were not an issue there. I would not hesitate to return in the future."
