"We had a great time this weekend! My youngest son caught so many fish! And such a variety of fish! Great place right by the water. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. They do have TV’s in each room and living room but we never turned them on. A very quiet and calm neighborhood. A great time with my brother and my sons. We will definitely be back. -Gomez Boys "

"Good, clean, cute decor and linens, quiet and right across from the pasture with Whooping Cranes, so great for birdwatchers. Lots of deer outside in the evening too. The mini split air conditioning worked well. We usually stay with Air B&B, this was my first time VRBO. Is it customary with VRBO to sweep and take the trash out as were the instructions in the property manual? We try to be really neat and clean and take our trash anyway, plus I like to recycle what I can but I was just curious if this is a VRBO thing. The only other item was the water. It was cloudy and gray looking. I noticed it is on a well. Thankfully we brought our own water to make coffee as my husband was quite upset with the look of the water from the sink in the coffee maker receptacle. We did not shower there after seeing the water. "

"For the price - the unit should not have missing furniture (only two chairs at dining table instead of four and no bedside table so lamp was on the floor). Also the bathroom fan broken-,when turned on it was so loud it could not be used. Finally, the sofa was faux leather and very worn. The unit was clean and it was quiet overnight."

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This location is in the perfect spot; Goose Island state park, Big Tree and Whooping cranes are nearby. We had some issues from not being fully informed. There is not a stove top although there was a skillet. There are not plates or bowls; only a few paper plates. The kitchen area is with the bathroom; doing dishes in the bathroom sink is odd. We were provided with pods for the dishwasher which it doesn't have and laundry pods of which there is no washer or dryer. There were weird noises (I had read about noises in a review). I think it is the tree rubbing on the roof, but was afraid it was coming from the zombie house nearby. There are many pictures of decks that are actually part of a residence. The lights on the pier did not work which disappointed since we planned on fishing at night."
