The hotel room was set-up to be a one night stay not for weekends or even a week stay. Bed was comfortable and I did sleep well, bathroom was clean and tidy and well laid out. At reception they did not take cash and when another member of my party paid my taxes as well they locked me out of my room and wanted the tax paid again. On check out again they did not want me to leave the hotel until I had paid the taxes again so i had to wake up other members to prove it had been paid. All the time I was getting later and later for my plane. Missed baggage check in, but just as well I had none walked directly to gate and plane was already boarding.

This is my second visit. Very trendy. Staff are very friendly. Close to public trans but far enough from the main city to enjoy peace and quiet. We slept like babies. Would definitely recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, although it wasn't within walking distance to the town center. Fortunately, a convenient bus stop was located right outside, offering easy access to the center. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and our room was clean. If you're seeking a peaceful and quiet hotel, I'd highly recommend this hotel

Ladies 50th Birthday trip

Very comfortable modern hotel Lovely staff, comfy beds, nice rooms amazing view from 5th floor harbour view room. Excellent breakfast choice very tasty .. we were visiting for 2 50th birthday’s I had informed hotel and they wrote a message on the room window with balloons and chocolates.. Nice touch our birthday girls were pleased Thanks Hotel is far from city centre but we aware of this before booking number 48 bus stops close by. Very peaceful pleasant location we loved getting back after long tourist days in the city. We would stop here again if returning to Amsterdam. Adell the man on reception was friendly and helpful with tips regards bus etc on checking in .. Moxy thks for having us

I recommend!!

A big thank you to the hotel staff, very nice, reactive, friendly and helpful! Really nice hotel, you feel like on a boat with the amazing view. The pool, sauna, babyfoot, billard .. are very pleasant.

Check in was efficient. A helpful receptionist told us that we would have to pay a €30 early check in fee but this would be waved if I was a Bonvoy member. I couldn't produce mine quick enough (finger trouble) so she signed me up as a new member. Problem solved!! I was later able to find my old Bonvoy number and the records were rectified. I really appreciate that kind of quick thinking and customer service. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the two extra pilloys we asked for, arrived quickly. Our only 'customer feedback' was that the used complimentary cups, coffee and tea were not replaced on day two. The hotel is located in a quiet part of town and a ±€15 UBER ride from the city centre.

Modern hotel with unexperienced administrators

The building itself is new, nice and stylish. The location is also all right, about a 30 min walk from the centre, very calm and relaxing, no noise at all. However, the stuff could be more attentive. At our check-in it took us 20-30 minutes to get the keys because the administrator kept on distracting on other guests' request instead of asking them to go to another non-occupied administrator. It was very annoying. In addition, we were told that the breakfast in until 11:00 and on Monday it was an unpleasant surprise to realize it was until 10:00...

Great Hotel

We stayed at the Moxy Hotel Amsterdam from July 23rd to 30th and overall had a fantastic experience. I'd happily give it 5 stars, but I’ve marked it down slightly due to the lack of a fridge in the room — which is essential for someone like me who needs to keep snacks or certain items cool. We originally booked a standard room, which we’ve done at other hotels without issue even though my partner uses a wheelchair. On arrival, the staff were really accommodating and moved us to an accessible room the next day, which was lovely and much more suitable. The hotel itself is fun and vibrant — there’s a spa, gym, pool table, arcade games in the lobby, and even free popcorn! It has a great vibe and is ideal for both couples and families. Staff were generally brilliant and very helpful throughout our stay. However, on one occasion when our room card stopped working, all of the front desk staff were being told off (quite publicly) by a manager for not engaging with guests — ironic, since the telling-off was causing them to ignore us. Thankfully, one staff member broke away to help us anyway, though it earned her a dirty look from the manager. That was the only disappointing moment in an otherwise excellent stay. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. We’re already planning to return next year and bring more family with us — they’d love it.

Beautiful hotel, loved the vibe. Smelled incredible the moment you walk in the door, I’m not sure what it was, but I loved it. Friendly staff, super accommodating. We needed a cot because we ended up having another person on the trip with us, and they brought it right up. Everything was very clean, which we appreciated it. Drinks at the bar were pricey, but the entire city is expensive so I’m not really surprised, especially for a hotel bar. The location is outside of the city centre, but the bus stop is about a minute away, and that takes you right to Centraal Station, it’s also walkable if you’re up for that. Nice and quite location, especially after leaving the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

in general, I liked everything. The staff is friendly, they treated me to a cocktail upon check-in and gave me a bottle of champagne for my birthday. The rooms were cleaned regularly, everything was very clean. The breakfasts were monotonous, but everything was quite tasty and you can choose according to your own taste. Quiet area. What I didn't like and even shocked me was that when I checked out early, they don't collect breakfast for the trip. This is the first hotel in my experience that doesn’t collect the breakfast I paid for. It was really unpleasant. It would also be nice to add a toilet brush to the toilet and some kind of table with the possibility of eating at it. There was also no locker for clothes, although we only came with backpacks and it was not a problem for us.

Great room, beautiful pool and sauna. Relatively easy to get into town except late at night. The hotel is 6 minutes walk through an unoccupied business district which is I would say potentially unsafe for lone travelers at night, so an Uber might be needed. Staff generally lovely, but on check in failed to do anything but give a room key, no orientation like breakfast times and costs, where to find food, what time the pool is open. When I asked them directly ‘is there anywhere to eat near here?’ they said no it’s just the hotel and pointed at the limited snacks available- giant family bags of crisps, snickers bars etc. I ordered a drink at the very very quiet bar and asked again if they had bar snacks and was pointed again at the same stuff. But some other guests in the lobby then said the bar do food until 10 - so I went back, found a menu and asked to order. Barman says ‘no, we don’t do food’ and turns his back on me and walks off. I’m now puzzled as well as hungry so I ask a second Barman who has just appeared if he can explain - he says the first barman meant they didn’t serve freshly cooked food and that food on the menu is reheated. When I get upset he then says the first barman intended it as a joke - ‘to cheer up tired customers’. He apologises and makes out it’s because I’m tired but i just felt humiliated and in fact blamed for the guys rude behaviour. Rest of staff lovely, but this soured my stay, being a solo traveler. Won’t be back
