I could not fault the location, pretty central and not far from the train station.
After a narrow, very steep climb up the 76 steps, I was very disappointed with the size of the room. Do not let the photos full you.
Tiny room, with a single bed, after being led to believe it would be a double.
I could touch both walls at once.
No view, as such, but that was alright for me.
The mattress was cheap and clapped out, very soft, saggy, and rolled me to the wall. Cheap, very soft pillows with no support.
There were no drinks facilities, and the coffee machine in reception was out of order.
I had to remove three take away food cartons, half full that smelled rank. I took these down to reception and pointed out that must have been there some time.
Not the most reassuring thing to greet one, especially during the rise in covid, not a strict cleansing routine.
Having been to Amsterdam many times, there ae far better hotels in this price range.
