Would stay again, for the price you cannot go wrong, we stayed here on a 2night/3day trip. Me and my partner went out everyday and only used the room to sleep and shower and it was very nice

I have been asked by yourselves to review my stay in the Golden Zaan Hotel Amsterdam Zaandam so here goes. Quite simply put, this was the dirtiest most scummy hovel I have ever encountered in life. I am shocked this hovel can even be advertised as a Hotel by yourselves! At best it is a hostel. Whilst I have stayed at an assortment of hotels over my 67 years of age, I am not particularly fussy. Both myself and my wife have two minimum requirements from a hotel. Firstly a decent bed and pillow with clean sheets to get a comfortable nights sleep. Secondly, a decent shower facility with hot and cold running water. This establishment failed on both of these.

It’s okay according to price receptionist man very nice and humble easy to check in and check out near too Zaandam station and near deka market for breakfast just 2 minutes away and too many options for dinner De griek restaurant very good for dinner. Beds in good condition but bed sheets and duvet cover has some stains. Hotel provide towel’s, toilet paper and shampoo .

Pleseant stay, good sized room everything in working order and friendly staff - staff are not always at reception however phone number provided and staff assisted within minutes when there was issues with our key card. The mattress was comfortable however the duvet was not thick enough for the two of us. Thank you

Shower curtain not shower cubicle. Bottom of curtain has mould. One morning we had a load of tiny little flies come out of the drain in the shower. If you don’t use shower curtain everything gets wet. When we arrived we had to request 2 hand towels and a bin. When we asked for bin to be emptied next day it wasn’t done. The area outside the hotel was very run down. But the staff were lovely.

Lots of parking in quiet streets. BUT ZERO LIFTS FOR 4 FLOORS !! My room had many BED LICE and I was bitten severely !!! 😡 I showed the owner my photos and videos. He pretended to be shocked 😡 STAY AWAY !!! INSECT INFESTED !!! 😡

This has to be the wrose hotel i have stayed in. The front reception was not manned 24/7 and anyone can walk into yhe hotel. When we arrived in the room, we was astonished at the state of the room. The room was not cleaned and was fully of mould. The back of the bed was full of wood chippings wherre they have quicky made a repair and there was blood stain on towel. It was awful.. There is not tea or coffee provided either. Please avoid this hotel at all costs

Never book room number 201 with four beds. It had no window, was very dirty, and didn’t have a fridge. The cleanliness was awful, the room was very cold, and there was no kettle for hot water. The beds were noisy, and the description on the website did not match the actual room at all.
