Room was clean, staff were lovely. Steps were alot to get to room but thats part of the fun. The room was perfect for what we wanted/needed. Ideal location too, close to everything. Smoking was allowed on the balcony too which was great.
The room was clean and the toilet had everything you need but the bed was rock hard, location was good, very quite, but we had to go upstairs with the suitcase four floors,

Too many stairs. Need to hiking. If have heavy baggage dont go there at all.
Facilities was not good.
Location was almost good
Room wasn’t clean, no towels, smelled like freshly smoked cigarettes but I asked for a non-smoking room. The front desk staff was nice and they’re available 24/7.
the location was good.
stairs nightmare- 73 steep stairs to our room. be prepared!!
smallest room ever.
The worst part was that we were BITTEN ALIVE by BED BUGS! honestly covered in bites. please don’t stay here.
It is basically a crack den. Only nice thing is the staff and location. Rooms are unclean, blood stained sheets, mould on bathroom floor. It waa pretty dire, felt really unsafe.

The balcony was a great addition we spent a lot of time on there ..
The property is very dated and very basic , it was clean and room cleaned daily, shame there was no fridge or kettle , but very close to all attractions all in walking distance, but nice and quiet 👌
This property is ideally located and walking distance to everything Amsterdam-central.
Would happily stay here again, the hotel was great value for the location and the staff were absolutely fantastic and helpful.
Location is perfect for just walking around and lots of locations to eat near, we stayed in the attic so the 4 flights of the steepest steps ever every night was a lot but not too bad, definitely wouldn’t book if you have knee, leg or hip issues. Rooms were clean and maintained everyday, would stay here again.
Was such a friendly hotel staff couldn’t do enough for us! Lovely balcony and room can’t wait to come back september

There are 73 steep narrow steps up to the room. A nightmare with heavy suitcases.
We asked for a twin bed room and got a single with an odd divan which had to serve for a bed.
Nice back garden which was quiet.

Room and bedding was clean, although doors and woodwork needed repainting, and bathroom tiles were not done well. The additional door bolt didn't work. Lamp didn't work. TV was useless. Stairs were very steep and there were so many, and you have to go up 2 sets to check in, back down, and then up (for me) another 4 sets to get to room. The bed was rock hard. The bedding and towels were very clean and changed daily. Apart from one wall of tiling, and a weird tap design, the bathroom was decent and modern. Decent location. 20 minute walk to train station. Close to shops and city centre.

Room was fairly worn out. Given how few amenities are in the room it should be easy with minimal effort to make the room more presentable, coat of paint freshen up the fixtures. Bed was reasonably comfortable and linen/towels were clean.
I wish the state of the stars were included somewhere in the booking. me and my spouse are young and fit and it was difficult for us to get to our room.
Also the reception/ check in was confusing. but besides that it was a great place to stay and location.
Other than the very steep stairs to reception and up to the rooms , everything thing else was good , staff very helpful

The staff at the hotel were exceptionally kind and helpful, providing great customer service throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the quality of the rooms did not meet expectations. While the pricing is affordable, the accommodations reflect this—rooms were quite dated and dim, and the actual appearance did not match the photos shown online.
The hotel is conveniently located near major attractions, which is a definite plus. However, the surrounding area felt unsafe at times, particularly in the evenings.
Overall, the hospitality was excellent, but the condition of the rooms and the location may be considerations for future guests.
