Expected more from a VIP suite but was quite disappointed. As the suite seemed quite basic and could have been much cleaner. But there were lots of smudges, food crust on the bedroom curtain and food crust on the plates and dishes as though not washed thoroughly. There was a female staff member at reception on one of the evenings into my stay who was not helpful at all, slightly rude and very standoffish. I don’t recall the name but she was a short slightly round dark haired lady, with very elaborate false eyelashes. However, the mature gentleman who advised me my room was ready at the start of my stay/check in,was extremely polite, friendly and genuinely welcoming.

Thank you for your stay. Not sure what you mean with VIP suite as it is a normal suite. Please do let us know during your stay if something is not right so we can act immediately. Now it is too late and is frustrating for you and us as well.

Great location right beside the metro and a shopping strip mall. We stayed in family room 411 and the internet rarely worked. They tried resetting the modem, but that didn’t help. . They offered to move us the 2nd day, but when we checked there were no family rooms available that day to switch to. Other than the internet access the hotel was nice.

Thank you for your stay. We do offer breakfast. We do however not have extra charges. If you mean citytax, this is also noted on your reservation. You are free to park in the streets around us as well but this is at a cost as well. Parking on our own site is therefor cheaper. We do suggest to check this upfront in order to be well prepared when travelling.

We stayed in a nice family suite, it was specious and had a handy kitchenette. Very convenient location - close to the station, where a train will take you straight to central Amsterdam.

Great chain hotel near the railway station. 10 mins to Amsterdam Centraal. Lovely town centre by the station. What's not to like?

Unfriendly, will not stay here again.
On arrival the staff were very unwelcoming and uncooperative around the fact that we had had a cash flow problem meaning we could not easily pay for 4 nights in one go. They showed no respect for my Silver Membership status. Prior to our arrival I had tried to reduce our stay to 3 nights but they said I would have to cancel the bookings and rebook. This is ridiculous. I cannot understand why they could not just cancel the 4th night. When we left they said bye. Nothing else. They did not realise we had stayed there this year for the second time because we liked it last year. We will not stay here again.

I’m a single mum with a 14 year old boy and 12 year old girl. The hotel is in a great place, close to shops, cafes, restaurants and the train station to Amsterdam Central and the Airport. However, I was not told there would be maintenance happening in the hotel during our stay. We travelled at 3.30am and so hardly had any sleep and then were woken up at 8.30am with drilling right outside our room. We got up and went out for the day. We got back at 6.30pm to someone coming out of our room (do donor disturb sign on door) dust on the floor etc. more drilling and banging. I went to reception and just got told the hotel was full so couldn’t move and gave me a drink voucher that couldn’t be used until 9pm and we were checking out the next day so pointless. We had a triple room. There was no privacy at all with the bathroom. The glass has open parts so the 3rd bed is perfectly in line to see whoever is in the shower. This meant my teenage children would not shower during our stay. The beds were awful. I’m going home with a bad back. I was in the ‘double’ (two single beds together) and it sank into the middle. Would never have stayed here had I known there was maintenance taking place. Staff couldn’t have cared less about the work men being in my room or drilling all day. However, location great.

We would like to mention that we have multiple public areas downstairs where you can sit to be out of the room if you felt the privacy aspect was otherwise not being reached. Apologies that the drink voucher gesture was not well received, for most of our guests the timings are not a problem and it’s a missed opportunity that it was not able to be sorted out while you were here. We are sorry to hear that you were not well informed about the maintenance happening in the hotel. My suite was perfect for 2 couples. It was squeaky clean, lovely updated bathroom, nice artwork and decor. Convenient mini kitchen and dining room area. Only 5 min walk to the train station. More dining options 5-10 minute walk (across train station). The staff was very helpful and kind! They let me borrow an adapter. Love this property!

I didn’t really like how terrible the card reading machines were, card got declined several times even though we had the funds; almost ended up getting charged twice for breakfast and the city tax even though we paid on the day of check in. Had to mention it twice to get it corrected. I liked certain staff members like Yiangqi and the Brazilian gentleman at the bar/restaurant they were both very helpful and courteous.

Great for easy access to Amsterdam by train. It was nice to have a kitchenette and air conditioning in our hotel room. The staff are helpful and the rooms are kept clean.

Northern European road trip
We arrived early and gained access to our room straight away which was great after our overnight ferry. On-site free parking was a huge bonus for our family road trip. The family room was good with lots of space for 2 adults and 2 teenagers but the bathroom with a sliding glass door off one of the bedrooms meant there was little privacy. The towels could have smelt fresher and some soft furnishings in the room were a little tired - duvet and curtains. We would definitely use this hotel again if we were visiting Amsterdam with a car.

Decent hotel for the price, but do not go here if you need to use their business services. Expedia listed this site as having"business services including computer workstation" and WIFI. NEITHER WORKED. I even called ahead to confirm that these services would be available to guests. They said yes. I guess I should have specified if it was working technology. The computer was a a single Windows XP workstation (probably 25 years old, its operating system isn't even supported anymore). The browsers were Internet Explorer (also no longer supported) and TOR (avoid if you don't want the Dutch-equivalent of the FBI questioning you for 'stuff.') The WiFi never worked. I had to get a free Lebara sim card from really nice vendors downtown (Feyzo) and buy a €20 data plan in order to complete my work. I had to do all my work projects on my iPhone instead of a computer. Not ideal. The AC/Heater didn't work either. Other than that, fantastic location by Zaandam Station. Google maps will route you the long way if you are walking from the station, but all you need to do is exit the station, turn right, go down the stairs and cut through or by the supermarkets to get to the hotel. The employees were all really friendly and helpful, the hotel is just dated in regards to tech.

Hello, thank you for your stay and feedback. To be honest, I think you are the only person that uses and requested a pc for months as everyone uses their own tablet or phone. The wifi is working properly if you login as it is a secured connection which I am sure you appreciate. We kindly advise if something is not working to contact our team so we can do something about it.

Breakfast closes at 12 I get there 11:30 they already cleaned everything Bed is split in half. Not comfortable at all!!! Wouldn’t recommend this place at all

beyond perfect!
everything was really great at reception, kitchen, bar, room and parking. Staffs are all friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. The location is the best. It's only 5 mins walk to the main station. There is a supermarket nearby as well. I can easily walk around to the city from the hotel or take a train to Amsterdam and have no worries on looking for parking in Amsterdam! Everything is wonderful and I will choose this hotel again when i come back in Netherlands! One little thing is that the refrigerator in my room wasn't cold enough.
