"This was my first time staying at this hotel and will definitely be my last! The staff were cold and unpleasant! It was like pulling teeth getting them to provide information about my stay. The room was right next to the elevator and the large window was broken and didn’t align very well which made for a very noisy night overlooking a busy highway! The breakfast was limited both in terms of choices and quality! Don’t be fooled by the high ratings showing on the website."

"What a wonderful apartment, in a beautifully restored historic home! The "English basement" was a warm and spacious home, with 2 cozy ensuite bedrooms, clean and comfortable, as well as a large country kitchen and separate living room. The host had provided sightseeing brochures and links, and restaurant recommendations, as well as kitchen and bath staples. The parking spaces were convenient and right next to the apartment, and the host responded almost immediately to a few quick questions we had during our stay. I would definitely recommend this apartment for other travelers EXCEPT during my future UVA reunion weekends! Thanks for the hospitality."

"I always have great experiences at Holiday *nn Express. Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was super nice and accommodating. They got us a portable crib for my 3 month old which was really awesome. Break was great. No smoking allowed on the property. I will only stay at Holiday inn Express from now on."

"The hotel is beautiful - sleek and chic! Great location and stellar staff. The rooftop bar and restaurant is my favorite place in Charlottesville. (The gluten-free pizza is FANTASTIC!). The rooms are nice, but there was mildew on the shower walls the last 2 times we stayed there. The gym has some broken equipment, but that won't stop us from coming back! The best value in the area. "

"This is a charming home on a quite street, close to Downtown, UVA, Monticello, and other attractions. It has a 1st floor bedroom suite. Beds were very comfortable. There is a terrific great room/kitchen off the back of the house. It was well stocked and everything worked as it should. The host was very gracious and helpful. We would stay here again if back in Charlottesville."
