"This was my first time staying at this hotel and will definitely be my last! The staff were cold and unpleasant! It was like pulling teeth getting them to provide information about my stay. The room was right next to the elevator and the large window was broken and didn’t align very well which made for a very noisy night overlooking a busy highway! The breakfast was limited both in terms of choices and quality! Don’t be fooled by the high ratings showing on the website."

"The location was perfect. The room was clean and efficient. The bed was very comfortable. I wish I had read more carefully about the stairs. There were four steep and narrow fights. They were a bit much for us but we are in our 60’s with artificial hips."

"The room had a broken lampshade and the sink in the bathroom didn't drain. It is the 2nd time i am confronted with a non-working bathroom sink. i have been a customer to this Residence for over 15 years. Breakfast used to be much better with a person in attendance to cook eggs to one's specifications. All these aminities have disappeared."

"The hotel is beautiful - sleek and chic! Great location and stellar staff. The rooftop bar and restaurant is my favorite place in Charlottesville. (The gluten-free pizza is FANTASTIC!). The rooms are nice, but there was mildew on the shower walls the last 2 times we stayed there. The gym has some broken equipment, but that won't stop us from coming back! The best value in the area. "Excellent, clean, and beautiful property. Great house for a girls’ weekend. Walkable to downtown for shopping. Plenty of room for the 6 of us and the house was well-equipped with everything we needed. Check-in was smooth and the host was very responsive. Highly recommend!"

The location right on the historic mall and above a theater is great for exploring, but keep in mind that walking and stairs are required—something to consider if you have limited mobility."
