"Although it is an older hotel, everything was well maintained and updated. Staff was very friendly, the rooms were very well kept, The afternoon tea was nice, and the breakfast was a full breakfast with many options. I will stay here the next time we visit Charlottesville."

"I would have rated this a 5 if it were just the two of us but our college aged son slept on the pull out couch and the mattress was truly terrible (felt every spring.) BTW, it is a single bed, not a double as described. Also to note, the sliding barn door to the bathroom leaves significant gaps through which you can see into the bathroom from certain angles (like when he was laying on the couch bed he could see right into the shower.) Definitely not recommending this room if sharing space. Otherwise it was exactly as pictured and extremely clean. Bathroom was large and nice. The king bed was very comfortable. Fun staying right on the pedestrian mall. "
