"Probably the most comfortable beds my wife and I have slept on in any hotel room (and we’re in our 70s). Nice selection of channels on the TV. Reception staff was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was quite good. Highly recommend when staying on Amelia Island. "

"Location is great. Staff is great. This place has definitely seen better days. We had peeling walls. It looked like mold in the bathroom. Definitely rundown. It is literally across the street from the beach but for the amount of money it was not worth it. Better to walk a few blocks. Breakfast was not great - thought that from other reviews - but basic. Powdered eggs, breads. No fresh fruit or anything special. "

"I only stayed one night passing through on my way back to SC. I was in a partial oceanview which was excellent! It was on the side of the hotel but the ocean is so close that it didnt feel "partial". The breakfast was kind of gross tbh (the usual weird scrambled eggs, dried out waffles and bacon, etc) but the rest of the place was nice and made up for it. Parking is free and very convenient in an attached underground parking garage, Sandbar Restaurant next door was awesome and the beach is so close you could throw a rock at it. Great place!"

"If you want to lounge at the beach all day, stay at one of the beach hotels, but if you want to be in the thick of things, with dozens of shops, restaurants, bars, and night life, there's absolutely no place better than Florida House. It's a historic Inn, and literally on the walking and trolley tours as a place of interest on the island. The place is old, it's true, and so maybe not up to snuff on all the amenities you've come to expect (takes a while for the water to heat up, floor is a little crooked, internet TV only), but it's also beautiful, and if you're like me and the wife, the character of the place MORE than makes up for these minor shortcomings. There's live music next door every night, but they shut it down promptly at 10 (if you've got young kiddos, or you're an early-to-bed person, this may not be for you). We had a three minute walk to everywhere, had a great time, and special shout out to Julie, who ran her ass off to make sure we had everything we needed (including making me meat-free quiches and upgrading us to a king bed room). We'll never stay anywhere else, for sure!"

"Our experience at the Omni was very relaxing and easy to navigate. It is a great place to park the car and stay for a week without getting in the car again or easy to head to the historic downtown area for excellent food and shopping."

"Nice location and very clean and quiet property. We would stay there again, which is high praise because we are fussy old people! If you're looking for a beach vacation this is the wrong property, as it is not walkable to the beach. It is however only a couple of blocks from the main downtown area which has all the restaurants, bars and entertainment. "

"Excellent staff. Attentive to detail. Hotel is not a Ritz Carlton. Missing all out service and a facilities you pay for. Lobby bar closed until 3pm, gourmet restaurant closed Sunday and monday. No service outside areas. Not a Ritz when you have to buy a bottle of wine and plastic cups to enjoy overlooking the ocean."
