Lovely stay!
Really good stay! The shepherd’s hut was lovely and cosy. There is no TV in there which wasn’t a problem for us but just something to be aware of. The breakfast was excellent, as were the staff.

Location was great, and our room was nicely furnished with a beautiful view. The bathroom was very well appointed. I didn't like that we had to reserve a specific time for breakfast.

Best place to stay in the area. It is a Stunning property very well managed and maintained. Excellent breakfast, very helpful and polite staff. You can walk to the main market n restaurant. We are surely going to come back 🤗. They also have family rooms/ villas for large families.

2 night break in Grasmere
We booked this place due to the great rating on this site. Wonderful staff. Lovely location. Beautiful room. We booked the stargazer suite and even though the skies did not co-operate the view was still stunning. Breakfast was delicious. There is a Co-op shop 3 doors down and a great restaurant 2 doors down. Would happily stay again!

Beautiful property and garden with a river and shepherds hut at the bottom. Delicious breakfasts with good choices. Close to Grasmere for walking. Opposite a bus stop but parking space was limited. Antique furniture was attractive but, in the bedroom, the sconce lights were impossible for reading and the wardrobe space was minimal and had no lighting. Wi-fi in the village was intermittent. Staff were all very helpful.

Not a hotel but a B&B
Hotel looks nice but we were put in the annexe at the back of the hotel and not informed of this. Room wasn't ready until 3.30. breakfast was poor they didn't even have yoghurt. We will not be returning.

We had no hot water for the full duration of our 3 day stay. We reported it to staff on two occasions, nothing happened. We were offered another shower room which also had no hot water. No apology from staff or acknowledgment of the major failing. To add insult to injury the also tried to charge us twice for our dog. No apology that time either. Things happen and it’s the response of the hotel that tells you their quality. This response was poor, not interested and no acknowledgment of the impact on our break, which was a birthday break. Very poor customer service indeed. Avoid.

Neat and clean, with a TV, kettle, coffee maker and a hair dryer available in the room. Staff is friendly. Parking could be an issue as there are limited spaces and you cannot park on the road for more than an hour, during the day.

Good B&B
The Victorian was advertised as an hotel but when we arrived I asked about the bar only to be told the bar was closed as they were down grading to a B&B Had we known we would have chose another hotel for the facilitties . The hotel as clean and the staff were brilliant . The breakfasts were also very good

We loved the handy location, our really spacious room, fluffy thick towels, lovely decor, plenty of tea, coffee & milk. Felt sorry for the lady trying to take breakfast orders, tidy & serve on her own, as they were short-staffed so there was a bit of a wait. We'll definitely be booking again next time we go to Grasmere. Thanks for a nice stay.

The room was great, clean and had all you needed to have in it. One thing tgat was missing was a vent in the room whicb made our night very stuffy.
