The property is clean, the room and the bed are excellent, delicious breakfast. We arrived very late in the evening, the receptionist was very helpful. She gave us clear direction where to get our dinner to which we highly appreciated.

During the online booking there was no prompt or mention of the fact that parking needed to be booked as an extra. Upon arrival the only staff member on spoke so quietly I had to continue to as her again what she was saying and if it weren’t for me being able to see the amount for the room on the screen I’d have sworn she quoted an extra $100. The room had empty soaps and cleansers and you could tell it hadn’t been cleaned fully. Upon checking out there was only one staff member on and multiple people clogging the way waiting, two staff members would have helped. Looking out the windows there were at least 5 shopping trolleys that had clearly been thrown from the adjacent carpark by the local crack heads no doubt, doesn’t exactly make for an exciting view or fill you with confidence that where you’ve ended up having to park your vehicle will be safe. If there are items in the fridge they need to be signposted if they need to be paid extra for or whether they’re complimentary. Lastly thankfully the television in the room made only a good but weird ornament as it wouldn’t work in any way other than coming on to a black screen. Glad it was just an overnight stay so I know where not to book again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mantra. It was my first experience with this hotel chain and I was very impressed and looking forward to trying more locations. Our room was spacious and clean. There was a little bit of construction out on the street, but you couldn't hear anything inside the hotel. We had a wonderful buffet breakfast in the morning which I recommend! We only stayed one night, but it was one of my favourite hotels of the trip. My only issue was that there was no dedicated onsite parking, so we had to park in a lot behind the hotel belonging to a shopping centre. There wasn't any issue with this in terms of cost as it was free parking between 7pm and 7am. There is an arcade which you can walk through that takes you directly to the hotel. There was a lift for the carpark as well so we were able to get around with our big luggage bags pretty easily as well. Overall, a very wonderful experience.

We really liked that Cameron on reception was so helpful on our check-in. The room was very nice and we slept well. Our only suggestions would be a last check of the bathroom clean as we had something on the floor when we arrived that was not ours and the shower wash was totally empty. This wouldn't put us off returning to this nice hotel.

The breakfast was incredibly disappointing. Perhaps it was the timing. There was a bus load of visitors who had just finished Brekky but everything was pretty much out and/or cold. The pancakes were huge, thick, heavy and cold. Quite inedible. Still we managed to enjoy the fruit.
