The Lakefront Anchorage

"The Lakefront is super close to the Anchorage airport, and thus super convenient for folks flying in and out, on their way to a cruise or hunting/fishing expedition. But the property is VERY tired, and the wear and tear is reflected in almost every aspect of the hotel, from the rooms to the restaurants. We stayed at the property twice on our Alaskan adventure, and the highlight was truly on our second visit, when Matias helped us check in. He was helpful, efficient (despite being by himself at the desk and checking in a long line of people), and kind (something we cannot say about our first check-in experience). So Millennial Hotels, listen up….you are missing an opportunity by not putting some money into this place, and not promoting Matias to a decision making position. This hotel could be something. Right now, its tolerable."

"We arrived around 11:30 am and check- in was clearly stated for 3 pm. No problem so we sat in the sparse lobby. We asked if we could get wifi and they said no, not until we check in and They wouldn’t physically check us in until 3 pm. They were really rather rude but it appeared that they were sticking with the rules as they have been burned in the past. Who knows! No hair dryer in room, no sink plug. One coffee pod and we were two guests. Not our most pleasant stay in a hotel. On the positive side, the hot breakfast was excellant with lovely fresh scrambled eggs, sausages and hash brown potatoes and very friendly ladies keeping attentive attention to any spill and keeping all items topped up. Plenty of hot and cold items."
