Al Jummayzah Hotels, Makkah

"This was a great hotel, the staff were professional and the rooms were clean and spacious. There were also plentiful lifts (around 8-10 per tower), so that it was rare that you. had to wait more than a minute to be able to go upstairs/downstairs - something which is quite rare with other hotels in Makkah. There is also a small mall within the basement which we found very useful for being able to pick up snacks + water late into the night. In terms of the distance to the Haram, it is probably around a 20-25 minute walk. Whilst the distance itself is not too far, the roads are poorly designed for pedestrians. Due to the volume of people walking, it can be a little bit of a slog to make it to the mosque. We tried the shuttle service once, and it was clean and arrived on time. However due to the traffic on the roads it probably took around 30 minutes to reach the bus terminal, and then another 10 minute walk from there. Having said this, the upside of being a little further out is that you are a bit further from the crowds, it is easier to get a taxi in/out of the hotel and the food in the surrounding area is considerably cheaper than if you were staying close to the Haram."

"The room was very clean, the staff were very helpful and accommodating, and everything was very straight forward. I stayed at this hotel for an umrah trip and took taxis around to be dropped off closer to the haram and the process of booking was very easy and it was very affordable. The hotel isn’t too far from the haram, sound 10-15 mins. "

"My stay at Swissôtel Makkah was excellent overall. The check-in experience was smooth and impressive, and I am truly grateful to the hotel management for upgrading me to a beautiful room with a Haram view, this made my stay extremely memorable. The breakfast was outstanding, with a huge dining space, a dedicated kids’ area, and an exceptional variety of high-quality food. There were plenty of options including beverages, fruits, salads, desserts, bakery items, and more. The atmosphere, service, and organization were all excellent. I did order in-room dining on two nights, and although the food quality was good, both orders arrived with mistakes. The first night, the pasta was delivered with black pepper despite my clear request that it was for my kids and shouldn't be spicy. The second night, I received chicken biryani instead of mutton biryani. The staff tried their best to compensate, sending coffee with a fruit platter the first night and lovely desserts the second night, which I appreciated, but unfortunately it did consume a lot of my time. Overall, the clean room, incredible view, excellent breakfast, and very polite staff made the stay highly enjoyable. I look forward to staying again, in shā’Allāh."

"Everything is fabulous about the hotel, the staff and surroundings. I will stay there anytime i am in Saudi for umurah or Hajj. I do rate it 100/10 as my husband said😄"
