Funky in Aix ……
Small, funky designed hotel 30 meters from old town. Also convenient for multi storey car park - which can be problematic in Aix. Lovely walled garden where guests can have breakfast and relax. Friendly and attentive front desk staff

Quiet location, poor service
We enjoyed the location and aesthetic of the hotel, however our sheets and pillowcases had some stains on them and one of our towels was ripped when we received it. Upon arrival we were not asked to present any documents and were given basic information verbally from the concierge, but we were not informed of the need to pay city taxes and breakfast fees at checkout. While I could have checked this in my booking, it would have been helpful after 2 weeks of traveling in different places to be reminded of an extra fees we had not already paid for. Therefore we ended up paying much more breakfast there than we would have in town and had to arrange payments after our stay ended. We could have learned this at check-out, but when we were on our way out to catch our train there was no one in the lobby or at the front desk to speak to. Need to improve communication with clients.

Hello Mrs White, thanks for your message. In every hotel of France, the city tax has to be paid at the check-out apart from the room. We are sorry for the information of the breakfast that wasn't given to you by our receptionist and for the stained pillowcases, don't hesitate to ask for another next time. However, our breakfast costs 9,50 euros, for this price in town you have a cofee with a croissant and an orange juice, no yogurt, no compote, no bread, no jam, no cake, no muffin and it's not served in a private garden. On the morning you can ring the bell to call us for check-out. Kind regards

I can't say enough good things about my stay at Hotel Paul. First of all, I rarely book a "2 star" and to be honest, from the outside it did not look promising. But I had fallen for the photo of the garden in the listing: and the garden is magnificent! AND so was everything else! Felt like newly refurbished/designed hotel, immaculate, welcoming, quiet, comfortable, non-smoking, eco-conscious etc. Seriously, I personally would give it four stars.

This is not a fancy hotel but it was comfortable, excellent value for money and in a great location. It was perfect for our purposes (we were passing through Aix for one night).

המיקום של המלון טוב מאד, קרוב למרכז העיר, הצוות ידידותי ושרותי מאד. הבניין כולו מתקלף וכמובן שאין מזגן. יש 3 סוגים של חדרים: 1. הפונים לרחוב זה ממש מכה , הרעש נוראי הסוג השני והיקר יותר פונים לחלק פנימי. פחות רועש אבל החלון של השכנים היה במרחק מטר אחד מהחלון שלנו. שומעים וכמובן רואים אנשים כולל הורדת מים השרותים וכו. הסוג השלישי פונים לגן, אותם לא ניסינו. בבוקר האוכל שנשאר על השולחן התמלא בנמלים

A small, quirky room ... but comfortable! Centrally located in Aix-en-Provence. Viktor (owner) advised that he had recently acquired the property and was in the process of renovating it. He and his staff were the epitome of what you hope your hotel staff will be!

The stay was ok. The room was very basic. The first night was fine. On the second night, we couldn’t sleep until past midnight because there were noise from the room above us. The hotel Manager charged us additional 3.80 euros for additional taxes. We didn’t realized that we had already paid when we made the reservation.

¡El hotel es formidable! El servicio de self check-in funciona muy bien si llega después del horario de cierre de la recepción. El personal es muy servicial y amable. Las instalaciones son cómodas y el hotel en el que nos alojamos era espacioso y silencioso. La ubicación del hotel es excepcional, cerca del Ateliê de Cezanne y se puede llegar a pie al Centro Antiguo y a varias atracciones turísticas. Me alojaría fácilmente en este hotel. ¡Muchas gracias por la hospitalidad y el cariño!

Un bon hotel de caracrtère
Un bon hotel d'arrière-plan historique, tout à côté de la vieille ville. L'intérieur recemment rénové en moderne tout en gardant l'encadrement des ciecles passés. L'équipe très serviable et acueillante. Merci bien! A noter - anticiper frais de parking municipal Pasteur tout à côté 20 eur/ 24 hr sauf d'autres solutions. Ptit déj type français.

Hotel carino pulito, vicino al centro e con tutto il necessario. Ovviamente non è super lusso ma è un ottimo compromesso fra prezzo e qualità. Il personale è gentilissimo, la colazione buona e c'è un parcheggio (a pagamento) proprio accanto alla struttura.
